Cibo Pizza — Restaurant in Auburn

The best pizza I've ever had in Maine. I had tried a pizza spot a few months back that was $23 for a smaller pizza than the 16" pie I got here. The other place was worse than a cold little Cesar's pizza. I was thinking that I'll just stick to making it at home for that price. Then I saw this place (Cibo Pizza) was 5 stars and it was in such a cool looking spot. I had to at least give it a try. This place looked legit and everything on the menu sounded so good. It also looked so good. The staff is so friendly. This spot is so clean and has the right energy. It has italian music playing and very nice lighting. You think that the pictures are just pictures and you'll never get a pizza from them like that. Wrong..you step inside and you know it's 5 stars before you even get your pizza. I was ready to give it another 5 star review when I smelled it. Sure, it's not a cheap 5-10 dollar take out pizza...but if you really want to get your money's worth on pizza, you need to try this place. If gas, oil and electricity prices weren't through the roof in maine, I would have bout 3-5 pizzas just because I feel like I need to try all of them. Absolutely give this place a try. Cibo was amazing! I am from New Jersey, family in New York, 100% Italian so my blood type is marinara, Pizza is basically the Eucharist in my family, and I moved to Maine about two years ago. We have found a few really good pizza spots and some that we always return to. This is going to be one that I will be returning to frequently. I live about an hour away, and I was in the area for work. It is worth the drive for such an artistic culinary experience. The owner truly cares about his product and the quality shows. From the homemade dough, and the fantastic sauce, you have to go and try this pie. I could not stop eating it. I ate an entire 12 inch pie myself, and I’m really not that big of a guy, though I do have a good appetite, I truly could not stop eating this pie and I was contemplating on ordering another one to go.
