Hilda's Mexican Restaurant — Restaurant in August

I ate there on Jan. 21, 2023 in the am. By the appearance of the restaurant, I know its not the same owner. The tall pretty tables with the mexican colorful tiles are gone, the kind waitresses gone, the clean, the delicious menu is gone, the hot hand made tortillas are gone, the warm welcoming of what use to be the REAL "Hildas" is long gone! Hilda is long gone for sure! I walked in and sat at a table and a waitress never came. I had to order at the register because they no longer have waitresses and noticed how dirty it looked. I payed $44-$46. Order: 1) Chicken Enchiladas Combo

1. Chilaquil Combo The plates were very small and the portions waaay small. The real "Hildas" use to serve in big oval plates with generous portions and a basket of home made tortillas! They brought me a basket of a torta bread cut in pieces! Omg its like a Rachel Ray moment! My enchiladas had no flavor at all. The tortillas from the enchiladas tasted like old tortillas and they were hard and the chicken was tough! The bean and rice portion I swear must've been like an ounce each! The portion for the chilaquiles was so small like for a little kid and it was only 2 adults eating. I was so mad. Like I said the REAL HiLdas is long gone and they pretty much just transffered the business name. If youve eaten here when the real one was here please, please tell everyone this is no longer the place to eat. Estoy muuy decepcionada porq este no es el verdadero Hildas que todos conociamos con tortillas hechas a mano y porciones tradicionales y riquisimas, con mesas altas de mosaico coloridos y artesania Mexicana y unas meseras muy amables. La comida aqui en serio que es de las peores que eh comido....

I was on a roadtrip and we were craving Mexican food, but were highly dissapointed by this place. The food was the only good part about this place.The waitress service was also good it was a young lady with glasses. It started when the restroom was denied to me even after another customer had used it. When it came time to pay some older lady was charging me and she was starting to take another customers order when I told her I was first and that wasn't my order. Then I was rudely being charged from there, she had a attitude with me and then she managed to somehow charge me 6 dollars more. She mentioned that it was taxes but when I asked for my receipt it was the subtotal and taxes added to that with a total of 58 dollars and something but initially she charged me $64. 15. When we tried to explain to her she said to wait and she'll do the order right in a moment. And kept interrupting us with the same excuse, when we tried to explain something. We were tired of it and eventually left without our $6. MY PERSONAL EXPERIENCE. This was a complete 0 out of 5 for service. The food was a 4 out of 5. I hope this was a one time thing and...

Went on a Sunday and understand it is busy. I'm up for a wait. The waitresses do not pay attention to their customers. We came in sat down 15 minutes later no one has came to the table. People who came after were helped first. When I asked for a menu was told a waitress will come with one. When she came she took the order of people who had just sat down. I said I'm sorry we were here first. Ok I'll take your order next was her response. Needless to say we got up n left. We came to Sahuyo resturant up the street. Our order taken within minutes drink chips salsa. They were just as busy. If not more their restaurant is bigger. Big disappointment ...
