Dairy Queen (#13769) — Restaurant in Augusta

One star to many. I did not check my order till I was at the stop light a short distance away. A mistake on my part. My banana split was mush. I had asked for one out of the three toppings, FUDGE. Instead of adding more because I had one topping... I got the required amount. I had much more ice cream of course and not enough topping...No nuts though asked for... Also ordered a large vanilla ice cream no cone with crunchy topping on the side... Again minimal topping. a quarter of a small cup? Maybe...?? And that's just my order. While waiting for my order and doing the monetary transaction... One of the employees was upset and using profanity... Two of the young female for visibly nervous and uncomfortable. They were in my line of sight... Not only was my order not worth the $15 I spent, I had to witness an employee behaving as such fellow employees and customers. And this coming from supposedly honor roll level students of the local high school or...

The customer service has really gone downhill. I went for the first time in years with my 2 kids. At the risk of sounding like a Karen: after taking our order, the girl gave me my card back & turned & walked off without saying anything. I ordered 3 small blizzards, the first 2 were blended until they became milkshakes & by the time we got the 3rd one, my daughter & I were drinking ours instead of eating them. We got like 1 napkin each & no lids. I didn't think of lids until we were already driving away, when the cups were spilling melted ice cream everywhere. Just a few years ago, they would always ask how blended you wanted the blizzard & offer or even just include the lids. I'm sorry, but $15+ is too much to ask for 3 small ice cream soups. They...

It was an okay visit. Certainly nothing spectacular, out of the ordinary, or memorable. They were out of a lot of the simple ingredients (ice for example) and because of this, a lot of the menu was not available, or required substitutions. The two shakes were okay, not had, but certainly not above and beyond. 1 blizzard was ordered, And the (in my mind) crucial topping was forgotten or neglected. I preemptively ordered extra ingredients in anticipation of a sub par blizzard after receiving the shakes and was definitely glad I did, as even with"extra", there wasn't a whole lot. The staff was alright, but seemed a little lackadaisical. Not my worst DQ experience, but certainly not close to being in the list...
