I only gave it four stars due to parking, which isn't there fault, it's location of the building. It's very tight quarters to get in and out. You can park on side of building too but agan still tight quarters to get in and out. Kids will love this place because not only do they make sandwiches but they have chips, cookies, footlong dippers, nachos with cheese and more snacky kind of food for kids. They are wheelchair friendly, there is room enough to put a wheelchair up to your table. Cost is just like anywhere you eat, you pay for the quality of food. They currently have footlong dippers for three dollars, it's pretty filling, they also have footlong nacho boats that are only five dollars each and are delicious. They have a few tables you can sit at, it's not a normal restaurant but they do have like six or seven tables you can eat at. View is boring, you stare at the street, but again not their fault. The bathroom is always clean, I can say that honestly, every time we go in I've never seen it dirty. They seem to maintain it well. They offer pepsi products and the soda has always tasted fresh and not wilted down. They accept debit/credit and cash, they have no atm.
Years ago they had a terrible crew at this location but we have started coming back here once a week and the current staff is so friendly. Alex is the best. No matter how busy it gets Alex always is smiling and making sure customers are happy. You should give them a raise, or hopefully some recognition, it's hard in this economy to find actual "good" workers who actually make the effort to treat the customers well. The rest of the crew seems professional and nice as well, but we see Alex a lot when we come in. Thank you for getting this location back on track. This is one of my favorite places to...
Read moreAs a Dasher in Augusta Maine (where I used to live 20 years ago).. I am appalled by the customer service I was given when I came here to pick up a DoorDash order.
I work for Doordash.. not the store where I pick up the orders from. I work for doordash so I go by there rules.
The rudeness I received was by a tall bald guy who told me in a really rude voice saying "DoorDash says to have a bag for the food. They should have sent you a notification about it. Go get your bag." He said it in a rude and unnecessary tone of voice.
He's lucky I didn't punch him in the face for being rude to me. Next time I am at this subway in Augusta for doordash orders, I'm just gonna walk in without my bag and grab the sandwich and then put it in my bag in my car.
The guy is lucky all I said was "yup" when I walked out because believe you me, I wish I had yelled and said cuss words, but there was a few kids there, so i kept my cool.
So to this bald tall guy... Next time I see you, I won't be so nice.
Also to Justin Selmer, they can't really put the covers on the food because they have to open it and pick up the cover and then put the food on the sub and then put the cover back on they really can't do that when there's like a lunch rush or dinner rush so they can't do that it's against restaurant policy especially Subway policy... Put in the covers on the food is a waste of time and it'll take up more time to make the subs.. and I bet you that you never worked in a Subway or any restaurant and yet I have and you cannot put the covers on the food when you're trying to put food...
Read moreLet’s see, there was 3 workers there when I went in and the other 2 were great but the one guy working was getting frustrated with me since I had no clue what I was doing cuz I was sent to get 3 sandwiches for my family and it was my first time there. The guy attending me was calm and nice and asked me the sizes of the sandwich’s which I didn’t understand if he had asked for what kind of sandwich since I was nervous already and then the other worker began to yell at me telling me “what size is the sandwich!” And then I explained, later on as I got more confused as to what sandwich he was talking about the guy slammed the counter top ridiculously loud got visibly upset and walked over to help the other customers and was nice to them while yelling at me. I understand the idea that it might’ve been a hard day but that’s no excuse to treat a human like that. I work in the fast food industry and that’s not the way we treat...
