First off I will say I have never had a problem with this restaurant before. I have actually recommend it to several people. But tonight was just horrible. The waitress was wonderful and patient. But from there things just went down hill. Had to wait for our drinks to come. The appetizers came. Then our food came. Which shouldn't have been a problem. But only after we got our food it took another 5 minutes to get our salad which normally comes out first. Both my boyfriend and I ordered the ribeye cooked rare (almost $20 a plate). When we cut into it, it was cooked medium rare to medium. When we returned it the owner came out with the same plate then wanted to argue with us that it was cooked properly and we just couldn't tell because we were sitting outside and it was dark. At that time it was no darker outside than inside the dimly lit restaurant. He then acted put out when he asked us what did we want him to do "throw it on the grill for two minutes each side". Which ironically is how a rare steak is supposed to be cooked. When the replacement came out it was finally cooked right. However the owner should not have had the attitude he did. If he does not know the difference in the temperature of a steak then he shouldn't talk to someone who does like they don't know what they're talking about. Much less talk down to a customer. All I can say is I hope that all the people I have referred to this establishment does not experience the...

Went in on a Friday night. Wasn’t super busy we sat down and got our drinks. We sat for 30 minutes with no server, no one asked for our order. The girl who gave us our drinks told 3 different servers that we hadn’t been served and the quite literally didn’t care and said they had other tables. The girl who gave us our drinks took our order after 30 mins even though she wasn’t allowed to. We sat for 40 mins with no food. No one came up to us and apologized yet so many servers walked by with no response. They were all focused on one table and could care less about the rest. When we finally got our food our appetizer and entrees came out at the same time. We then waited 20 more minutes for someone to come take our payment. When we looked at our ticket it said our server was Bridgett yet no one by that name serviced us at all. Honestly it was ridiculous how long we waited and how people sat after us got their food before us. Definitely will not...

Glad to see that the Roadrunner Cafe is open for business again. It might not be the fanciest place in Augusta, but it's consistently one of the best. My parents are regulars there and I was with them on this visit. We were greeted immediately by their favorite waitress, Izzy. She's so friendly and welcoming. We all ordered the Chicken Fingers Platters. I got mine with a house salad and baked potato. The salad, nothing special (Iceberg lettuce, tomatoes, croutons, etc.) was transformed by the bleu cheese dressing! It was fantastic: thick, creamy, nice pieces of bleu cheese. Our platters came out hot and with the correct sides and sauces. And they were delicious. I probably make better chicken fingers at home, but they have the best restaurant made ones in town. And the portions are so big that we all had leftovers for lunch...

We came here for the 1st time tonight. We both had the ribeye & potatoes. We also had a sampler appetizer to try a bunch of things. The app was just ok nothing special or worth trying again per se. Best thing on their was the onion rings. Definitely worth getting them as a side with your meal. The steaks however werw fantastic!!! Seasoned and prepared well. The bf loved his baked potato & exclaimed he'd come back just 4 that lol. My mashed potatoes were a pass, might have been an off night there. When choosing your side DO NOT order the salad it was how they ended up with 4 instead of 5 stars. Lastly we came on a Tue night & they had karaoke. It was awesome and we're definitely going to come back again. It's worth a try. I've had steaks some of everywhere and these are 1 of the BEST we've had in Augusta so far!

Driving around looking for a place to eat and we stumbled into this roadside cafe. We were a little skeptical upon walking in since it seemed as though everybody knew each other. Being from California, we were the outsiders.A guest sitting at the bar let us know that we could find a table that we like and seat ourselves. That was nice since we didn't really know if we had to wait to be seated. The waiter, Dylan, came over and was very friendly and polite. We ordered our food and didn't even have to wait too long for it.to be ready. The place was pretty crowded, and everyone seemed to be enjoying themselves amongst all the other guests. The food was delicious. We will definitely be going back before we head back home to California.

I didn't have too many expectations for this place, you can easily miss it driving by. But oh man, was their ribeye good! Some of the best steaks I've had in a while, actually... It was cooked medium as I requested and the flavor was on point, perfectly grilled! The salad that came on the side was a pretty average salad. The sweet potato fries that came as a second side were fantastic - crispy and flavorful, cooked just right. The beer was cold and not flat! The atmosphere inside might give you a "locals only" feeling but the servers were extremely friendly and attentive! I recommend that place if you try to grab a bite and some beer!
