George's Restaurant — Restaurant in Aurora Township

We thought we would try out George's, and were excited to go there for the first time. After being seated, we were told it would be about a 20 min wait for food. We were okay with that, no problem. Everyone around us that was seated at the same time or after us was served their food first. It took an hour for us to get our food, only after being asked about an order that wasn't even ours. When we were paying, and brought this up to the owner, there was no apology given, only excuses. I sympathize with under staffing and cook shortages, I do not sympathize with disregard for customer orders. A simple "I'm sorry" goes a long way. Absolutely horrible service from the waitresses.

I had never been there, so I decided to give it a try. I walked in, sat down, and waited for over 15 minutes and never got a menu from the waitresses or even got their attention, for that matter. In the meantime, two other families walked in after me and got their orders taken and beverages served. And no, the restaurant was not busy. It was at best a 1/3 full.

I finally just left and called to speak to a manager. She gave me the run around about them being so busy, which they weren't as I stated before. And she didn't really give it much importance.

We came here for the first time this past Sunday. It was very busy and understaffed (like everyone these days). It took about 10 minutes for our waitress to greet us, and she explained that the food wait would be 20 min. We agreed, we did not receive our food for 48 min. This is not even the worst of it. All of the waitresses grab your toast and throw them in the toaster with bare hands after touching god knows what. They do this right in front of everyone to see. Very unhygienic!
