I went here two times. The first time it was a little hard to find the telephone number as they don’t have a website set up with linkand when they answered, I wasn’t really sure it was a pizza place. I got two Pizzas, pepperoni, and a white pie. I liked their pepperoni was very good. I’m from New Jersey and I’m constantly looking to find places that make good East Coast. The White was very bad. very dry, and the onions tasted burnt more than brown. I was looking forward to eating from there again however because I did like the pepperoni this Friday I called them 15 to 6. No answer. I called three more times no answer no messages. I hit the order online something I don’t Like to do, but I did want some pizza. It told me to pick the pizza up in 30 minutes. I got there about three minutes early. I was told my order hadn’t been started yet and it would be at least 30 more minutes. If you had a phone, you could’ve called me and told me that you were more than doubling my pick up time. I went out to the car for 10 minutes. Came back in now almost 20 minutes past my original delivery time. He did explain to me that he didn’t know how to use the website. I told him that’s great but call me and tell me but then told me they needed another 10 minutes . his oven guy then said he hadn’t even started my order yet as I was walking out the door. I told him again. I just wanna know when my pizza is gonna be ready. It sucks that you can’t even tell me. The other guy told me I had a bad attitude and I hadn’t even ordered it that long ago. The owner then told me everyone else besides me had been reasonable. So then I said well that I’m unreasonable? yelling.. he then swore at me and said that he had never said that to me. I was pretty mad at this point because we had had a good conversation. The first time I was in here, but this time both knuckleheads were just trying to pass the buck and make it my fault that we were past 7 o’clock and I had at least another 35 minutes to get my order that was supposed to be ready 35 minutes after ordering at 6::15o’clock(after trying to get on the phone for 15 minutes). I told him to give me a refund and to his credit he actually gave me three dollars more back than what I paid. I’m pretty bummed because I wanted to like this place.. they should get a phone number that someone picks up once in a while or call them back on. They should also look at their ordering system online and know how to use it and they should also actually build their website and have an easy way to click on the telephone number. It’s a moot point for me because they will not be getting my money...

An open kitchen, take-out only pizza place.
This store does NY style better than anyone around here (like Pop's for instance). You get the leopard spots, the bubbles, and the thin but chewy crust. High hydration, longer proof, low moisture mozz. Even the dusting of pec / rom / parm, drizzle of oil, fresh basil leaf. All the classic hallmarks are there and the details are done right. They only serve this style of pizza. No grandma or sicilian.
It reminds me specifically of Best Pizza in Williamsburg, Brooklyn with a more limited menu. And that's a good thing. Ronniebee's white pizza is a virtual clone to the one Frank Pinello made famous (sesame seed crust, carmelized onions). It's the best NY pizza I've had outside of the East Coast. It could maybe pass a blind test with places like previously mentioned Best Pizza or John's on Bleecker. A step above Joe's on Carmine. High praise.
There's no front of house so you get a discount using their online portal which is their preferred method. It's just a couple of guys working the store so calling them disrupts the flow. The menu is pizza and pop only.
It's the kind of place where if I see there's pasta or salad on the menu, I know it's the beginning of the end. This is a specialty shop in the best way.
They have pizza by the slice, but I've only ordered whole pies.
The place opens only at 4:00 PM and close kind of when they want to. You can do that kind of limited hours when the pizza is this good. That's probably the best compliment I can give the business.
I don't want them to change anything expect maybe a new specialty pie every now and...
Read moreThe pizza was astounding. I don't write reviews but this one feels important to me. I love pizza and I eat alot of it. I moved out to the Chicago area ~1 year ago and haven't found any pizza that I've enjoyed this much. I ordered a very simple 20" cheese pizza, the common denominator of pizza to make a fair judgement.
I can't say enough good things about this pizza, from the first bite I knew this thing was made with capital L, Love. I don't know where the owners came from or when they started this pizza place, but from the low number of reviews and all of them being not that long ago. I'd venture a guess that this recent.
From my limited experience I wanted to push this business along and express the joy I had while eating. The only downside is that I live ~25 minutes away, but that drive is more than worth it for the quality this team is putting out.
Best of luck with this business, if this quality can be sustained long term, I plan on coming by and visiting ~twice a month even with the...
