El pueblo mexican restaurant — Restaurant in Aurora

The crew were courteous and helpful. The atmosphere is excellent and the dining area was spotless. 1st off, like chicken fried steak at a diner, beans and rice are a benchmark for Mexican food. These were perfect! I had the street taco plate, asada and pastor. The food was fresh and we'll prepared, served in a timely manner. The only reason I dropped a star is it just not to my taste. Bit bland asada,could hardly detect the pineapple in the pastor. The pork was overcooked and mushy. I will be going back to try some other items, see if we can't get them a 5th star....

I don’t want to be negative as I am a local, but I have a few things to mention and hopefully the owners will take a look or consider other options. The good: food was good, service was good. The bad: the chips tasted burnt and were not good, the best chips are thick and homemade. The salsa was out of a can and not great. Lastly we ordered a full size guacamole, it was half an avocado at best for $6.99 not acceptable, plus it was out of a package and not fresh.

Very clean and food was good. Everything was fresh and tasty. Service was terrible. No refills on any of the drinks, had to ask for refills and they never came back. Took forever to get the check, they didn’t offer and boxes to go. Didn’t give the right person who ordered and didn’t care. One of the orders was completely incorrect and they didn’t offer to fix it. Server was more interested in being on the phone than tending to the service of paying customers. Not sure if I...
