Las Palmas — Restaurant in Aurora

Las Palmas in Aurora, Missouri. We enjoyed our time there for real! The beef nacho chips for an appetizer were super perfecto. The beef was so tender, juicy, and flavorful! The chimichanga portion was huge, and my bf loved it. The 7 seafood caldo was huge, prepared to eat your heart away. I think the broth was a bit on the salty side, but I have a low salt tolerance, so it might be perfect for you salt lover. The only negative thing I can say, I wish the green onions, cilantro, onions, and lime that came with the soup was fresher. For me, I think It would enhance and overpower the salty flavor broth. The first lime was so dry that no juice came out when I squeezed it. There was also a fly in the restaurant, and it kept attacking my bf. lol, it was hilarious. He hates fly. The service was great, the waiter was really kind and asked if we had any questions about the food. He checked on us to see how we liked the food. We got to chat with him, and he was really down to earth and friendly. The food came out in a timely manner. Overall, my bf and I like this restaurant better than the one in town. We'll diffinitly keep going...

I have given this restaurant a second chance and now I can’t help but give this review. First of all, the service is fairly good. The best one is the gentleman that seems to be the owner is very welcoming and nice. The food is just ok. The first time I went I had a new dish that they offered. The meat was not good and had lots of fat. Could not eat it. The second time I ate there one of the waitresses was sweeping the floor with a broom around us. In case you don’t know......NO customer likes that to be happing while eating. All the dust and dirt that customers come in with on their shoes is on the floor and it sends it in to the air and most likely getting its way into our food we are eating😱. Please please stop doing this! It’s gross and disgusting and I or we could not finish eating our meal. I do hope this stops. It’s too late for me to return to your restaurant. But, maybe this could help you...

Terrible experience. I will never give this restaurant another dollar. They cooked a piece of plastic in my 3 year old daughters rice and she about choked to death when she swallowed it. I was able to get her to puke it up and she threw up all over the floor by our table. Not a single employee offered a hand or a napkin or a mop. I had to go find napkins to clean it all up while they stood and watched from the distance. Thank the good Lord I was able to get it out of her before she passed out from not breathing. I asked the waitress if she let her manager know (who I know personally so I asked with his name) and she said "yeah sorry". That was it. Terrible terrible experience and a giant scare....
