Golf 1st Ethiopian Restaurant — Restaurant in Aurora

I got the veggie combo to go. I've eaten Ethiopian in many restaurants in different cities. This experience was acceptable but not wow-ing Firstly, disappointed there are no greens. NO GREENS... and the picture shows greens on the menu forvthe veggie combo. The cabbage was very good. The beets were very good too. The yellow lentils were a total miss-- they were salty & dry for my taste. Great ngera bread though....very flavorful. An honest rating would be a 3 out-of 5 but don't want the business to take a huge hit on their reviews. I prefer other Ethiopian restaurants in the area over this one. But that's my truth.

The guys here did not know me from a can of paint and welcome to me like I was a native son. I love it hear you know as a traveling photographer from Houston it warms my heart to come here like an immigrant person and feel welcome like I'm in my parents home country. Immigrant people know. these guys in here are decent Good wonderful excellent people. This is the place to go if you want very good Ethiopian food and great service. The staff treat everyone like family and make you feel like you are the most important person in the world. The food comes out very quickly, piping hot, and extremely tasty. Their Ethiopian coffee tastes just like as if you were hanging out at a coffee shop in Ethiopia. The building is a little dated but it makes no difference because everything else about this place is amazing. I highly recommend Golf 1st...
