Hardee’s — Restaurant in Aurora

As a former restaurant owner (had 6 locations in Kansas), I am stunned at how lousy the hamburgers are at this restaurant. I can tell the patties came frozen out of a box (however, not unusual at all in today's fast food environment). But after they hit the grill, they should be cooked with a hint of crust texture on the outside. They obviously do not run their flat top hot enough. Our burgers were under cooked, with a mushy texture and lacked the color that one expects in a burger pattie. The meat was grey in color and absolutely flavorless. Years ago, I remember Hardees having a pretty outstanding "Thickburger", but now they really suck.

Second "fail"....I dislike unhealthy soft drinks and always order iced tea. Theirs is a dismal excuse for iced tea. I knew it was going to be bad when I saw barely any color to it, pouring into my cup. It was barely flavored water. So I dumped it in the soft drink tray and went up to the counter to see if the "behind the counter" dispenser might be better. It was the same watered down excuse for iced tea. The counter clerk was very pleasant and apologized. Although it is ridiculous to try to save a few nickels on a days worth of iced tea by brewing it without enough tea leaf (bags), because it is extremely inexpensive to make and serve.

I will never eat at a Hardees again, since it is obvious that corporate dictates the quality of the product being served by way of their back of the house control and product choice from suppliers. Don't waste your money at this location and/or chain. There are far too many choices for an $8 combo meal serving hamburgers. If you're going to eat junk food, at least enjoy the experience and flavor from someone who knows what they are doing. My ticket order number...

My husband and I come to this location all the time from clever. We went this morning 1/30/2022 and we had ordered three meals and with that asked for a side of the sauce that came on one of the sandwiches and all curly fries. We got our food and the sauce and one of the curly fries had been replaced with normal. No big deal we swung back around and they were very sweet and told us to meet them at the window. The girl popped her head out with the sauce and said thanks! Have a good day and shut the window, still no fries so we waited there and then after waiting she came back with another bag and handed them to us again very quickly handed them over and said thanks have a good day. We pull over and start eating and open the bag and they still aren’t curly fries. Don’t get me wrong they were not rude but after a few times still couldn’t get...

2.75 for an extra patty? My husband waited like 15 mins in the drive thru to end up with the wrong order. Glad I checked it. Then they gave another wrong order. When my husband finally got his order the extra patty was missing and there was very little mushrooms. The manager, green hair and horn studs in his ears, said he was sorry for the hassle and that was it. He spent $15 on his order and it was cold when he finally got to eat it. Seriously? I told my husband to stop coming to this Hardee's BECAUSE they ALWAYS do this and it's ALWAYS the night shift that does it. I will continue to insist he not go to this Hardee's no matter how much he likes the mushroom Swiss burgers. As a previous Hardee's employee myself in KNOW how it's supposed to go and this place never gets it right. Worst...
