It doesn't matter if you're sitting inside in the gloriously air-conditioned bar (a.k.a. my unofficial office) or baking yourself on the breezy patio pretending it's "al fresco" and not just "hot", either way, you’re going to run into friendly staff, regulars who’ve clearly claimed squatters’ rights, and a few first-timers wondering how they just stumbled into the best time of their week. It's physically impossible to have a bad time here. The vibes are so good, I'm half-convinced there's something in the water. Or maybe it’s just the Chicharrones. Either way, I’m not asking questions. Now let’s talk food, because holy hell. If you're tired of the same sad enchiladas drowning in boredom and melted cheese-product, welcome to salvation. This place isn’t just slinging tacos, they’re out here resurrecting lost culinary arts. Every dish feels like it was crafted by someone’s abuela who doesn’t take shit from anyone and still makes you clean your plate. It’s the kind of menu where you discover a new favorite every time you show up, and then get mad at yourself for not ordering it sooner. But let’s not kid ourselves, I basically live at the bar. It’s where my mail should be forwarded. Not only is it chilled like a meat locker in heaven, but the bartenders are sorcerers. And the drinks? Let me tell you something disturbing: they found a tequila I actually enjoy. Me. Enjoying tequila. That’s like a cat deciding it likes vacuum cleaners. Normally tequila tastes like regret and bad decisions in a glass, but somehow, here, it’s smooth, it’s complex, and it doesn’t whisper “you’re going to ruin your life” with every sip. I didn’t know tequila could be this… classy. It was disorienting, honestly. Bottom line? Whether you’re here for the mind-blowing food, the dangerously competent bartenders, or just to bask in the kind of ambiance that feels like a party you were actually invited to, this place delivers. Every damn time. Go once, and they’ll charm you. Go twice, and they’ll remember your name. Go three times, and they'll mock you affectionately while pouring your drink before you sit down. Just don’t take my spot at the bar. We’ll have words.

Luna y Sol Cantina is hands-down one of the best Authentic Mexican restaurants I’ve ever been to. From the moment you walk in, the atmosphere is warm, vibrant, and inviting and the food? Absolutely phenomenal. I ordered the Enchiladas Michoacanas, and they were unforgettable. The rich, smoky chile sauce, the perfectly seasoned potatoes, and the fresh toppings all came together in the most flavorful and comforting way. You can taste the tradition and love in every bite just like something you’d find in a home kitchen in Michoacán. The tacos, served on freshly made tortillas, were another highlight. You can truly taste the difference when the tortillas is home made. And let’s talk about the esquite hands-down one of the best I’ve had. Creamy, spicy, and perfectly balanced with lime and chili. The staff were equally impressive: kind, attentive, and clearly passionate about their food and culture. They made the experience even more enjoyable with their great recommendations and genuine hospitality. If you’re looking for truly authentic Mexican cuisine that goes beyond the usual, Luna y Sol Cantina should be at the top of your list. I’ll definitely be back — and bringing friends along to try more of the menu!

I have been so excited for the opening of Luna Y Sol Cantina’s brick and mortar. I have been following them since they have done their pop-ups. I came today around 12:50 pm as they are doing their soft opening. The atmosphere was very welcoming and everyone was super kind. Liz came over to take my order and provided great suggestions like the mango cocktail that you see in one of my pictures. I decided the order the chips and mango habanero salsa to try something different. I honestly fell in love with it. It’s the perfect balance of sweet and spicy with a unique twist. I took it home to my mom and she loves it as well. I ordered three tacos: asada, al pastor (my favorite) and carnitas. I appreciate the fact that they use handmade corn tortillas and that the meat is super juicy. Most places I go that serve tacos, their meat is dry and not as seasoned. With these tacos, it was juicy and perfectly seasoned. The al pastor was my favorite one of the three and I will be coming back for my fill! I also ordered a tres leches desert, which I’ll give my review on later. The prices are also reasonable. If you have the time and the stomach, please come over and try this spot. You won’t regret it!

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ If I Could Give More Stars, I Would!

I’m visiting from Chicago, and during a trip to see my boyfriend in Austell, we stopped into Luna y Sol Cantina — and this place completely blew me away.

From the moment we walked in, the energy was vibrant and welcoming. The staff here doesn’t just offer good customer service… they deliver exceptional, genuinely warm hospitality. Everyone was friendly, attentive, and made us feel like we’d been coming here for years. That kind of treatment is rare.

And now… the drinks. AMAZING. Truly some of the best I’ve ever had. Perfectly mixed, full of flavor, refreshing but strong in all the right ways. You can tell the bartenders really know what they’re doing — every drink tasted like it was crafted with real skill and pride. It’s the type of place where you try one drink, love it, and immediately want to order another.

The food was also delicious — fresh, well-seasoned, and full of great flavor — but the drinks and customer service are what make this spot unforgettable.

Luna y Sol didn’t just serve us… they made us feel right at home, even though I was hundreds of miles away from mine.

I’m already excited to come back on my next trip to Georgia. If you’re anywhere near Austell, do yourself a favor and stop by — HIGHLY , highly...
