I recently had the pleasure of indulging my taste buds at Bird Bird Biscuit, and let me tell you, it was an absolute treat for both my senses and my appetite! Nestled in a cozy corner, this eatery has quickly become a haven for fried chicken enthusiasts like me, and I cannot stop raving about my experience.
As a self-proclaimed fried chicken aficionado, I've sampled my fair share of chicken sandwiches, but the ones at Bird Bird Biscuit are truly in a league of their own. The succulent, juicy, and perfectly seasoned fried chicken paired with their signature buttery biscuits create a symphony of flavors that dance on your palate with every bite. The contrast between the crispiness of the chicken and the flakiness of the biscuit is a culinary masterpiece that is sure to leave you craving more.
What impressed me beyond the incredible flavors was the freshness of every ingredient. It's evident that Bird Bird Biscuit takes pride in sourcing high-quality components for their sandwiches. The chicken was cooked to perfection, boasting a crunchy outer layer that gave way to tender meat that practically melted in my mouth. Accompanied by fresh vegetables and thoughtful condiments, each element contributed to a harmonious explosion of tastes.
I opted to place my order ahead of time, which proved to be a smart move, especially on a bustling Saturday afternoon. Despite the lunch rush, my order was ready in just about 15 minutes. This level of efficiency speaks volumes about their commitment to customer service and ensuring that patrons can enjoy their meal without unnecessary delays.
Upon arriving at the establishment, I was delighted to discover an open seating patio adorned with cooling fans, providing a respite from the Texas heat even though we opted to eat in our car. What's more, the icing on the cake was the dog-friendly policy – it's heartwarming to see a place that welcomes furry companions, adding to the overall charm of Bird Bird Biscuit.
From the delightful fried chicken sandwiches on perfectly baked biscuits to the efficient service and pet-friendly environment, this place has it all. If you're seeking a delectable meal that tickles your taste buds and warms your heart, look no further than Bird Bird Biscuit. I'm already counting down the days until I can take my family with me on...
Read moreI’ve never felt compelled to review a restaurant before, but the staff were so friendly and the food was so good, I wanted to make sure other folks would have something to help motivate them to go.
I visited on a raining day with my two dogs. The staff went out of their way to engage with me and give me treats for the dogs. It was so nice and welcoming, it was quite the treat for me as well!
They have a cute little covered patio with a few picnic tables and a high top counter. They even have a water bowl out for the dogs. A tip for rainy days: the picnic tables get wet when it rains, but the counter stays dry so there is seating, just less of it when it rains.
Ordering was super easy on the kiosk and the food came out quickly.
I got the firebird (because I like spicy) and it did not disappoint! The meat was tender and moist. The breading was crispy but not greasy. The spice level was easy to eat spicy (tasty but not hot). The biscuit was the best I’ve ever had; soft and moist, not dry and crumbly. The cilantro sauce tied it all together (as it should), especially when you get a bite with those those sweet and spicy pickles. And those pickles! I’m not a fan of pickles and I kid you not I would buy pickles from here just to eat all on their own, they were SO good.
The house made strawberry lemonade was also delicious. On the sweater side because of the strawberries but not over sweet, lemonade should have some tartness.
I didn’t know when I ordered them, but the fries are seasoned. This would’ve been good to know beforehand, because I mainly got them to sneak one to the dogs here and there, but they were still good. Cut on the thicker side and easy to eat.
Highly recommend the food and the service. Will...
Read moreFOOD The food smacked hard- the chicken biscuit (Queen Beak) was quite hefty. The chicken had a great ratio of crispy breading and tender chicken. The biscuit is nice n buttery n fluffy and sososososo tasty. I’m glad I got the chipotle sauce on the side since it was pretty overwhelming for me the last time I got it all together. We also got some white gravy and it was quite peppery without being obnoxious (unless you hate pepper… well.. that’s a you problem).
DRINKS We also ordered a strawberry lemonade and an unsweetened apricot tea. The lemonade had a nice sweetness and was very refreshing with a great tartness to sweetness ratio. The unsweetened tea was still ever so slightly sweet from the apricot and was brewed quite well since it didn’t have any excessive tannins but still had a nice floral/fruity/tea taste.
PARKING Parking was kind of rough- it’s like playing Tetris when people are going in n’ out, but thankfully people were leaving by the time we got there.
VENUE The location (placement wise) was alright. It looked cute and there’s a cute shaded turf mini outdoor seating area, but it’s less cute when it’s 109 degrees out.
SERVICE My Togo order came out pretty quickly and the staff member at the pick up window was just the sweetest human that made me feel safe. The food managed to travel pretty well after half an hour or so before we finally consumed it.
WOULD I COME BACK? Absolutely. It’s a bit of a trek for me, but I’ll def go if I’m in the area and craving for a chicken...
