Cheff Choo's food is one of a kind! The sushi is very high-quality where each bite is a joy. Typically at an omakase meal at other places I'm left needing additional pieces to feel full, but not with the omakase from Chef Choo; he provides generous portions of high-quality fish and other ingredients. I love how he pairs the fish with his own twists like Thai Honey Chili, Yuzu Ume Oil, Garlic Chili, Black Garlic Oil, etc. Chef Choo is our favorite omakase experience in Austin!

Pre-order is a must! Unless you wanna stand in line before they open to grab something… but why. Just preorder and CHOOse a time to pick it up. I would at least order a few days in advanced. They have limited orders per day. They have a small case in store that’s ready grab but usually sells out within hours after opening. It’s a locally owned restaurant with maybe 5 tables inside. We had the 10pcs sushi and seared sake. Everything was 10/10. Will be back to try the sandos!!

I have been dying to try Chef Choo's shop for a while now and I am so sad I didn't stop by sooner! The chef's special box that I chose today was truly an amazing experience! The cuts of sushi are so soft and delicious, with meticulous handcraft going into preparing them. The owners were on-site whipping up new masterpieces in the back, with a clean dining area to enjoy this box! If you get the opportunity to stop by, please do! 너무 맛있었어요. ^^ 감사합니다. 다시 먹으러 올게요. ㅎㅎ 화이팅!

Hands down, the BEST sushi in Austin!

Recently learned that Chef Choo does omakase in a shared kitchen near my place and ordered sushi two weeks in a row. (Matsu, Itamae, and Aburi roll) I’ve had fair share of sushi thus far and I can confidently say this is absolutely the best sushi you can have in town (yes, far better than Uc* and Uc*ko!) and probably one of the best in Texas metropolitan areas. Was told that Chef Choo is opening his restaurant pretty soon. Wishing all the best in his journey and looking forward to visiting...

My husband and I have been fans of Chef Choo since the Afin days and through Haru and its other names, so we were very excited to try his take-away omakase yesterday. It was amazing!! What a gorgeous expression of his craft. Everything was packaged beautifully, pickup was super quick and easy, and the quality, taste and presentation of our order was just unbelievable. This is a very special meal that I’d recommend to anyone! Thank you, Chef Choo! I can’t wait to order again, and to try the sando...
