I spoke with Craig O on yesterday and then Todd, the franchise owner of the location I visited, on today. Craig initially was very apologetic but after he spoke with the young man that is the reason for the chaos, he changed his tune a bit. Craig mentioned the cashiers feelings and how the chicken is indeed breaded fried chicken and that they are trained to say this to customers but the cashier didnāt say that to me, he made an indication that due to my race I wanted fried chicken that night and no one can make me feel otherwise. The young man had a chance to clarify himself when I asked why would he ask me such a thing and he chose not to. Janelle, the supervisor, had the opportunity to calm the storm and chose to defend him as well and offer me cheesecake, not a refund or a real apology. That night and every time after that the apology has been āIām sorry butā, that is not an apology. I donāt care how Ryan feels, his feelings are invalid because this did not happen to him and that is what I told Todd. The franchise owner Todd called me today and began the conversation by telling me that he was upset because I blasted his company on social media as if I deserved what happened to me, there is no way that this can be salvaged as no one is taking ownership for what they did to me, everyone is mentioning that Ryan is hurt and they didnāt intend this to happen but it happenedā¦to me. Customer service is key in a successful business and Todd chose to stay in the kitchen and not tend to his customer and now the situation has escalated, he had every chance in between Thanksgiving eve and now to try and rectify the situation and chose to block me on social media and ignore me instead. I had to call back and follow-up as this was never an attempt on anyoneās behalf but mine. Todd also disclosed to me that his staff member was incapable of explaining to me the difference between the chicken and the way it is prepared so that is why he didnāt respond when I asked him why would I want fried chicken with my fettuccini alfredo. The training is your responsibility not mine, I am but a mere customer. I am not the issue here, the improper customer service, the response on yelp to my review telling me that youāre not a racist, the lack of decency to come out and speak with me after this happened and the lack of sympathy for my situation is the problem here. I donāt expect these white people to understand because unlike them I canāt hide and blend in with everyone and what I deal with daily is something they will clearly ever grasp, however as human beings that would want the same treatment I expected more. From talking with the owner I had an understanding that they would deliver occasionally even though the owner said that the company I work at is out of their service area. Footnote: I personally go to Craigos and eat frequently with my family and its the closest pizza place to our office. The owner said that the delivery wont be timely though. I understood and didnt have a problem with that and thanked him and told him that I would give really good tips each time. I ordered for the staff and they delivered 3 different times over a period of about one year. Today I called and ordered and spoke with a Craigos manager named Jesse. He said that he isnt going to deliver because its out of their delivery area. I explained what the owner said to me and he looked up and said he sees where it was delivered before but that he isnt going to deliver unless the total amount is $70- $110. Usually our order is around $40.-$50. and we pay a really good tip to the driver of about $15.00. I asked the manager if he could let me speak with the owner. He put me on hold for about 5 minutes, someone got back on the phone and said nope we can not do that and the owner said no.
