I just love the shakes and all of the blizzards and stuff I'm not really into their food with their ice cream and blizzards and stuff like that are amazing. * To the owner Mr. Mayfield: Everyone this is the real owner of Dairy Queen who just replied to me, Mr. Mayfield, you may not remember me but about 3 years ago, I ordered a kids chicken strip meal from 5900 Manor Rd, Austin, Texas 78723 and my son was 3 years old at the time. That was my first trip there. I am from San Francisco, California. Well, I did not see on the menu board all the things that came in the meal. No staff asked me if I would like gravy with the meal and I never knew that it came with it. I did tell the staff that the meal was for a 3 year old. Well, after I got the meal, I looked in it like any mom would and the meal looked fine and I gave it to my son while I was driving to my next destination. In the matter of minutes my son was screaming in the back seat and I looked in the rearview and saw that my son had opened a container containing white gravy and it was way too hot and he burnt himself. I rushed him to receive medical attention and he indeed had very minor burns on him due to moms quick reaction. Thank GOD I was first aid and CPR licensed. I went back to the restaurant to let the staff know that my son was burnt by the gravy. It was too hot and also I didn't know that it was even in the box because it wasn't on the menu as a part of the meal. I remember making the complaint to the manager and I received a call from Mr. Mayfield himself. He told me to order exactly what I just saw the reply on and to send the receipt to a certain address and I never did it because I totally forgotten what Mr. Mayfield had asked me to order until I just saw the reply. I am a very honest person and I couldn't send in just anything. My son is now 6 years old and till this very day he will not touch anything that looks like white gravy. The only reason I didn't make a big fuss about it is because accidents do happen. I am the parent so I feel like I was responsible for my son getting burned as well as the staff that put the gravy in the meal. I should have opened any container and checked the temperature of everything but I didn't know ordering a kids meal for a 3 year old came with gravy. I never ordered one before. The staff did confirm that they never asked me if I wanted any condiments or gravy in the kids meal or I would have said no because it would have been a mess in the back seat of the car of course and I didn't want that. However Mr. Mayfield never received my receipt for what he asked me to buy and try and mail the receipt in for it. I wasn't going to mess up what I was asked to order and I was afraid to call and ask Mr. Mayfield to repeat what I was supposed to buy. I never ordered another kids meal but my family fell in love with the frozen treats. Mr. Mayfield is a very nice person and he does reach out to his customers. I had to make that known to any other customer. Mr. Mayfield is a very awesome and caring person. He treats his customers like family. I still kept the pictures from when he had that accident, I still have the doctor's visit information as well from then. However, the restaurant receipt ink has vanished so you can't tell what I bought 3 years ago of course.😂 However, Dairy Queen has been our favorite place to get frozen treats for the past 3 years now. Now, I know what to buy from the reply. I will buy it and try it today Mr. Mayfield. I'll take a picture of the receipt as well😊

Armed security guard W Franklin harasses customers, threatens to assault them, and calls police on them for no reason!!! Type in on YouTube "Mayfield DQ 5900 Manor Rd Austin Texas Corrupt Security" and you can see what happened, don't just take my word for it!!! I started recording early on after this gentleman confronted me, then my phone stopped recording at around 9 min 8 sec when it ran out of storage. Timestamps for key moments posted in the description of the video. One of them notably being when gaurd lies at 8:52 mark, claiming that management requested all this. Management was unaware, which manager on duty confirmed both in person and in text message after he gave me his phone number. More recently, Mayfield DQ has switched up and gone on hardcore damage control like I've never seen any company do. For some reason they still have the same gaurd working though, and I saw him harassing an older gentleman with a walker a few days ago. I'm banned from the store but I stood on the sidewalk and took more videos of incidents which will also be on YouTube shortly. Not good to do this to customers.

Went here a couple nights ago. Neither staff member we interacted with was very friendly, drive-thru worker was impatient when my partner needed a moment to look at the menu and the person who gave us the food seemed uninterested. But the worse thing was the food they gave us. Everything was correct and tasted fine but on the car ride home, I realized that ice cream was dripping all over me. When I looked closer, the blizzard cup they gave me was DESTROYED and they tried to cover it up with a delivery sticker. It is just insane to me that whoever did this decided this was ok instead of just putting it in a new cup. Will be avoiding this location from now on.

Dairy Queen has always been one of my favorite Restaurants And have many fond memories spanning over 50 years. I played Little League baseball on the Dairy Queen sponsored team, we were the envy of all the other teams because after every game you win or lose our coach would take our whole team to the Dairy Queen Where we would be treated to dilly bars shakes or banana split. I often took my children to the nearby Dairy Queen after school for a blizzard Which was their favorite. My personal favorite is the belt Buster with onion rings and occasionally I will take home a box hook dilly bars to snack on later.

I visited my local dairy queen January 21st around 7:30 or 8 p.m. after a long cold day at work I decided to stop in The Dairy Queen located at 5900 Manor Road in Austin to grab a belt buster with a couple of my coworkers

Upon entering this familiarRestaurant I went to use the restroom there were three of us standing there there was no response after knocking so I being a commercial door specialist unlocked the privacy lockset with my thumbnail and I went in wash my hands and exited the bathroom was in perfect working order and very clean. when I came out The security guard Was very rude and threatening chastised me for Unlocking the bathroom door and he went on to You with me and be little me embarrass me in front of other customers and staff . I told him you should put a sign on the door that says it's out of order he argued with me and argued with me I finally left without the meal that I paid for .The bottom line is that I would avoid this store So you won't have to be chastised and belittled by hey thug...

Today was the worst experience that I've ever had in buying fast food. So here are the details. I decided to take my older brother out for a burger since he was visiting Texas. So, as I was placing my order and specified, my order would be a large combo. And to that the the woman taken my order replied, what size drink did I want? That's when I reminded her that my order was large, so why would I need to upgrade my drink and fries when the order was already up sized. But I thought nothing more of the mere correction and pulled forward to the worst customer service from a so-called lead. Crystal was the worst, she received me at the window by giving me a death stare, which at the time I thought was odd because nothing warranted this type of behavior. So I asked about the facial expression because I didn't want to misunderstand her intentions. So she clarified her rude demeanor was due to what she thought was me being and when I asked her what I did that she felt was disrespectful she told me to leave the line she wasn't serving me. That's when I left the drive can in the establishment and requested her name where she defying grabbed her badge displaying it as if she didn't care and her authority was law. It will be a long time before I frequent this...
