So I got charged $7.50 for an ultra with lime (12 ounce plastic cup) When I questioned the price I was offered a shot of ultra (what!! Literally a shot) and called a douche bag from the bartender. They said they remembered me complaining in the past but I havenāt been here in months. I been to this location several times but not in the past few months and I never complained in the past. Itās always been a hit or miss and never was I charged this much for one drink. Music is borderline boring. I would be surprised if they last another year. Very disappointed in the service. Good luck to anyone who comes here. If you are drinking expect to be taken advantage of. Sucks because I had high hopes in this place being a local bar. Iām sure the owner will come on next and bash me like all the other negative comments.
Edit: went back and got my receipt because I felt like extra charges may occur. Was told I was not allowed back in the establishment. I actually told the bouncer before entering what I was coming in to do to cover my own butt if needed. I received my receipt and left without issues other than them telling the bouncer I was not allowed back in. Receipts are posted for proof.
Edit 2: To drinks backyards reply. You need to review your cameras and post the truth. You would clearly see I NEVER disrespected the employees. Im a military veteran with over 20 years of experience in communication and leadership. I have absolutely zero reason to name call or act out of line especially over a $7 drink. I have more respect, compassion, and understanding than that. I only asked to confirm the price because I felt it might have been for the price of two. I 100% did say that the price was close to the cost of a drink in Vegas. As for the shot offered Iām guessing you must be confusedā¦It was a shot of beer. (literally a shot of ultra beer)⦠I was also very confused that something like that would even be offered. A simple yes the drinks are 7.50 would have easily answered my question. Instead I was answered with attitude and a free shot of beer. Remarks were made that I was there previously and complained before. Let me clear this up.. no I have not. They must have mistaken me for someone else. Like I said in a previous posts Iāve never had an issue let alone been there in months. Best wishes in your business however I wonāt...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI was at Drinks Backyard last night for the first time, and it was fantastic. Vibes=immaculate. Ceci made me a spicy margarita and it had the perfect balance of sweet and sour, and Bailey was a gem. The outdoor seating area was a perfect place to enjoy the nice weather, and they had a local artisan market there that had all kinds of cool locally made items. I will say that you should check the calendar if youāre intending to go and converse- while the sound system is superb, live music is live music and itās loud (as it should be!) Over the span of 5 hours, I had maybe 9 drinks and felt it was a great ābang for the buckā situation. Iām a regular at the original Drinks, and while Drinks Backyard has a distinctly different vibe, it was still a great time in its own right.
Now, for the bad: There was an extraordinarily rude customer- who you may notice from the comments below. I can assure you, the staff handled him with more grace than I would have. Outside of his impersonal thoughts on beer prices, he made personal attacks on the bartenders and staff, and was generally a person who very clearly never watched Mr. Rodgers. One of the marks of a good establishment is how well they de-escalate potentially volatile situations, and if ever there was a situation where someone deserved to be āescalatedā it was this. But the staff remained professional and solved things in a reasonable, adult manner. All in all, 10/10 spot, and if youāre ever out that way, pop on in and enjoy a few drinks. You wonāt regret it- unless youāre the type of person who pulls...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreMy overall experience at Drinks was not positive. To start, they do not have enough parking. After waiting 10 minutes to park because I was meeting others who were already there I arrived inside. There was a live band that was WAY too loud. You couldn't have any conversation even in the furthest seats away. I got a skinny margarita that was way too sweet. Later, I tried to get water but the outdoor water jug was empty. I thought I would be helpful and bring it inside for them to fill up and the bartender was quite rude to me and didn't even offer to just fill my cup for the time being. I have a heart condition and need to stay hydrated and then was denied water at the bar and told to stand in line and wait. I ended up going back to my car for water so I didn't pass out in the 85 degree heat. This place may be okay during the week if it's more chill but definitely don't recommend on weekends.
Edit: In response to the owner's reply.. I never said I was HAVING a medical emergency. I said that I have a heart condition and COULD have one. I shouldn't need to disclose my medical history to your staff to get some water. And yes, I went back to tell my friends that I was leaving to get water. And I was still holding my EMPTY water cup, not a drink. I went and sat and drank the water that was brought to me from the car. Your defensive response and lack of understanding ensures that I would not revisit this establishment. Please consider that access to water might be more...
