SoCo Ginger Beer Bottle Shop — Local services in Austin

I would have given 5-stars if I didn't spend a bunch of time driving around looking for this product. My son and I bought this for the 1st time last Saturday at one of the farmers markets in downtown Austin. I liked it so much that on on Sunday, I drove to Whole Foods in the Domain because that was listed as a place to purchase this product on the Soco website, however, when I got there they told me they hadn't carried this product in over a year. Then I drove to the production space on Tillery because Google Maps showed the location open on Sundays from 1-7 only to find a printed paper on the door saying they were closed for the day. Please update your website and keep your hours updated on Google Maps.

As far as the product goes, I've tried the cranberry and blackberry and they were both very good. I just wish this product was easier to get, and there doesn't appear to be any retailers up in Cedar Park where I live.

EDIT: I tried to go to the tasting / production room again. This time I called first thankfully because they were closed for some special event. They sent me to a liquor store where they carry the 32oz growlers...so I went and bought a couple of growlers, however, they didn't tase nearly as good as the one I bought at the farmers market a couple weeks ago. It seemed like they had been sitting on the shelf for a good while. I give up. This product is too difficult to get. I wonder how hard it's gonna be to return the used growlers...

What a great event!. Diana, the sweet young lady representing SoCo Ginger Beer did a great job mixing up the ice cream sodas and giving us tips on different add-ins we could pair with the different flavored ginger beers. It was interesting to learn what few ingredients go into their products and how many pure flavors they have developed. Personally, I think -a good Moscow Mule is one of the most refreshing adult beverages one can imbibe in! SoCo is not only local but very calculated in their product. Everything is organic, everything is natural and everything is delicious! The owner is a physicist which lends a lot of credible scientific background to their recipes and helps them deliver the freshest products available. They sell a lot of product at our local farmers markets in Austin and San Antonio and in the Dallas area as well. The most popular size is the 32oz Growler but they serve it up in 16 Oz cups as well. SoCo is contemplating ways to expand delivery of their product. It will be a challenge for sure. The English Style Ginger Beer is currently located in small quantities at select local stores. If you like a lot of ginger or just a little ginger there is a flavor to please anyone. Their original and Xtra have a really nice ginger and lemon flavor. The Xtra has a stronger ginger flavor and for some reason I really like it. It does not seem to have a strong ginger bite that you usually get with ginger. I am sure the lemon and the sugar help mellow that out. Besides the ginger flavors they also do seasonals. I have had the peach, blueberry, carrot and beet and hibiscus and all are excellent. I discovered them at the Mueller Farmer's Market on a hot spring morning. I had to get a cup to go to help quench my thirst for the walk home. You can sample any or all of their flavors and there is no pressure to have to purchase anything. They also do growler refills which will save you money in the long run especially if drink this stuff as much as my family does. At the farmer's market they are a cash and credit card...
