Halal wings, Burgers & Fried Chicken — Restaurant in Austin

Was a regular customer but decided to not go to this place any more because the owner is rude and dishonest. They have spicy chicken on their menu and even though we order 30-40 mins in advance, the owner screwed us last time by not getting the order ready. When i asked how long do i need to wait more, he responded 1 hour. Clearly, he did not want to make spicy friend chicken and wanted us to get regular chicken. He was ok with us leaving but did not have the shame to apologize or make our order. We generally drive 30 mins to get our order but the owner was shameless and did not care.

Word of advise: if you can't fulfill the order, or give bs to customers, every time they order spicy chicken, it is better to not have it on your menu or don't commit.

Be honest and respectful to customer's time.

You lost one regular customer and if you continue to do the same thing with other customers, you might be closing your business soon.

In these times, we want to support small businesses but that doesn't mean you treat your customers with disrespect and rude attitude.

And also, when you leave this place, check your order before that. Not sure, what the owner has with spicy chicken, but he once gave us regular chicken instead of spicy one. The fact that he is always ready to give some excuse to not give you the intended order, makes me believe, it was intentional.

Good wings though a bit on the smaller side. They have some interesting flavors like Curry and Mexican. The curry tasted like achar which we like a lot but may not be for everyone. Both were spicy enough for me so I'm scared to try the Halal hot or Cajun flavors!

The garlic sauce can definitely be improved. It's too thick in my opinion and doesn't complement the chicken as well as ranch or blue cheese.

Also tried the spicy fried chicken. I really enjoyed it even though it was not spicy, just well seasoned. I would have preferred it to be at a higher heat level. It was cooked well though, crunchy outside and juicy inside. It came with fries and roti which is a nice touch but again the garlic sauce was just too thick and mayo-y tasty for me. Fries are your usual standard fare and does the job well.

Lastly, my fav thing about this place is that the chicken does not smell. All my peeps who grew up eating halal chicken can identify with what I'm taking about! It's always a delight when I come across meat that doesn't have that smell of old blood/bacteria in it's bones.

Overall, I am glad this option exists and plan on being back to satisfy my halal...

Customer service is nonexistent here. I visited with a friend and walked in and was not greeted. The man stayed on his phone sitting at the counter. We decided to go ahead and order since we were there already. So we did and rung us up and while paying got back on his phone, didn't tell us anything or seat us or anything. We waited over 30 min.

The lady came out and brought our food but didn't say anything and just walked away. I ordered shrimp and fries and some nuggets. My friend had a 2 piece chicken w/ mac and cheese. The mac and cheese was not good, the shrimp looked burnt and tasted old, the nuggets were not fully cooked.

The best thing was the fries and sprite. I had to go out the door and come back in so the bell would ring just to get someone to come back to the front to get a to-go box.
