No! Absolutely not! Don't even think about coming here. Save yourself the trouble and go across the street, because the food here makes mall food court food taste like gourmet! Ugh, where to start. My girlfriend got the "#4", and somehow, that's a "special plate" that the cashier felt the need to tell us that it would take extra time to prepare. I'm not sure why, since it's pretty standard and traditional items. I got the traditional gyro wrap "combo". The term here is loosely used to indicate "food entre plus Frito Lay chips and a fountain drink from A Coca Cola machine. However, that's not to include the fountain that's at the register, that's a" specialty drink ". So, for a "combo", the only item that has anything to with The Halal is the entrée. Ok, onto the actual food: The pita I got was probably a week old, and was more chewey than a high school's desk's bubble gum. It was thin, chewey, and cold. The falafel "extra side" I got (which for some strange reason you can't substitute for your combo side) was flavorless, dry, and it had this taste of dust. I couldn't finish one. And finally, the gyro, was the worst gyro I've had in the 75 mile radius. The meat was bland and flavorless. And the tzaziki sauce is not tzaziki sauce at all. I don't know what kind of delusional concoction this is, but it didn't taste anything remotely resembling tzaziki. (they even misspelled it on their menu). The hummus was bland, and flavorless. And for all this, it took about 25 minutes (with only about 4 other customers, as I counted) to get our food. Look, if you're coming here, it's most likely because you WANT Mediterranean food, so if you DON'T want to be disappointed in your meal, go across the street to Tino, or go someplace else. There is no absolute reason why I would recommend anyone to try this place at all, even to "cross it off your list". Save yourself the trouble, money, effort, and disappointment. I know this place is not meant to be "fine dining", but when it comes to Mediterranean, but this doesn't even cut it as "bad food-guilty pleasure", like Zorbas/Tino. There's nothing else I can say about this place other than I wouldn't come back here if it was the last place for...
Read moreThis was our first visit here and we were excited to try it reading the reviews and seeing the menu. We were not disappointed.
Between us, we ordered the following:
-P4 - with Mixed Kabab, and, Mashawi - Mediterranean BBQ Over Rice (Grilled On Open Fire), served With Hummus, Tabouleh, Pita, and Tomato Sauce...the Hummus was really good - very creamy with a great flavor, the Pita was pretty good as well, the tomato sauce was very pleasing to the pallet...not spicy but well flavored, and the Tabouleh was ok, I have had better else where...I do not think I was a fan of the large chopped onions in it.. a bit too much... but other than that, this dish was really good. The meat was plentiful and delicious ... we would get this again
-Beef Shawarma Wrap - my first time trying Beef Shawarma. This wrap comes with Lettuce Tomato, and Tahini Sauce...I enjoyed this wrap very much and would purchase it again.
-Cauliflower Side - This was my favorite dish out of all the ones we tried... the cauliflower was perfectly cooked and had this delicious roasted flavor to it... wish I could cook this at home, it was very good
As soon as you walk in you are greeted with a smiling host who takes the orders. He had a pleasant demeanor about him and it seemed he thouroughly enjoyed what he was doing. The place was clean and there was plenty of outside sitting tables to enjoy your meal.
The great food, decent prices, and friendly customer service will bring us back for sure. We are excited to try some of the other yummy items...
Read moreI come here all the time and the food is great. But the last 4-5 times I've been there the service has been bad. I like to call in my food beforehand so I can easily pick up my food and not have to wait too long. Lately when I come in, I pay for my order at the counter and then they say it will be ready in a couple of minutes. So I grab a chair and wait, and wait, and wait. The person at the counter has completely forgotten about my order, even though I'm sitting right in front of them, I've had to ask after seeing people get their food that ordered in store after me, if my food is ready. And it's bagged up right in front of them, having been sitting there ready to go the whole time. No apologies, nothing, and this last time I didn't get my food until 30 min after I ordered. The last time too I ordered a wrap combo and when I paid I said I was going to grab my soda while I waited and the guy said I'd have to pay for it, I told him I got a wrap combo which comes with the drink and he told me he'd let me have the drink for free. I said, "it comes with the drink and I paid for it" he said, "I don't know". So now I'm feeling like I've swindled them out of a free drink even though I already paid for it. Why doesn't he know the menu? I live a few blocks away and like the food, but I'm tired of the lack of customer service and care given to the people that buy your food. If it only had happened once or twice, I wouldn't care, but it keeps happening. I'll be driving out of my way to get middle eastern food...
