We recently stopped by Jasmine's after picking up someone from the airport.  The restaurant is right across the highway from the airport.  It truly is a diamond in the rough, so don’t let the outside of the building fool you!  LOL The staff was very friendly, the service was excellent.  Attentive, but not intrusive.  We started with house margaritas, which were very good.  The gratis chips and salsa were also good, chips crispy, salsa very fresh and not too hot!  We also shared a bowl of the chili con queso dip, which was a simple preparation, and on point!  Delicious! As far as other menu items, we tried the tortilla soup, menudo and chicken chili rellenos.  All dishes were seasoned well, and served hot.  The tortilla soup and chili relleno were especially good. Glad we stopped by.  It’s an easy stop when headed to or from the airport.  We’ll be back!

In town for work, needed a quick bite leaving the airport. Google said 4.4 stars or so, and I was hungry, so what the heck, why not? Ended up deciding on Juevos Rancheros, was convinced to upgrade to added Pork Chop. Wish I’d picked Barbacoa or something as my upgrade instead, ‘cause the pork was tough and dry. My waiter seemed to barely speak English, which made communicating inconvenient. So inconvenient that I neglected to request hot sauce, which would have improved the meal ever so slightly. The refried beans, fried eggs, cubed potatoes, and heated flour tortillas reminded me of high school/college cafeteria food: serviceable, almost enjoyable at times. The coffee was overly oily and a bit burnt, but complemented the food well enough. If I’d paid $8 or $9 instead of $14 or $15 I might even give 3 or 4 stars.

They serve complimentary houses made salsa and salsa dona (spicy, creamy green sauce) that is exceptionally good! Service is ALWAYS just as friendly as you could ask for. I've tried lots of their menu items and most are excellent. For desert, I highly suggest their fresh churros with ice cream. And their breakfast tacos are always spot on! Edit/Update: They now offer cauliflower tortillas which is an awesome thing to do. I can't say enough good things about this place. Every plate is prepared fresh. Their omelettes are the best I have had! I've edited and updated my review several times. These people have such a good product but they are unapologetic when they screw up or get caught overcharging. Anytime I have ever tried speaking with them about a discrepancy they just okay. I have to stop giving them money.

Really not sure how people are giving this 4 & 5 stars. Doing a quick meal after an airport pick up on a Tuesday night. First time dining here. Negatives:

  1. Place is dingy and old looking inside and out. Agree with other comments, needs a face lift and deep cleaning.
  2. Table needed a wipe down when we sat. Only 2 or 3 other couples dining at the time around 8pm.
  3. Chips were stale and cold, had to ask for salt (shouldn’t they ask you that when you sit or bring to you).
  4. Salsa was in hotter side, maybe too much jalapeño?
  5. Water Glass was huge (maybe because salsa is hot?) but your beverage is served from a can🤔
  6. Food...3 out 4 things I tried were not good (like others have said) bland rice, bland refried beans (tasted like straight out of a can), hard shell chicken taco...shredded chicken no seasoning or flavor, corn tortilla shell bit burned/over done. Way more lettuce than cheese in the Taco.
  7. Did not bring any extra napkins or asked if we needed any...could have used some.
  8. Seems overpriced on several items. Positives:
  9. Placed food order quickly and food came out quickly.
  10. Beef Fajita Taco on Soft Flour Tortilla, good portions of meat. Meat well seasoned. Tortilla Soft and Warm.
  11. Potions for 3 enchilada dinner were huge. Could have split that meal.
  12. Server was ok, took a while to get check, should have offered us napkins and wiped table before we sat. But she was quick to take order, get drinks out and serve food. Pleasant.

Would not likely go back unless I wanted Soft Taco Beef Fajitas to go. $2.99 each...maybe 🤔, $1.99 hard shell...

I had high expectations due to the reviews. I ordered to go over the phone. The order was a ground beef chimichanga with chili con carne sauce, diced jalepeños on the inside and no sour cream in which we communicated at least twice and had that repeated back to us. What we got: sour cream, no guacamole which comes with the dish, jalepeños on the side, and the chili con queso literally looked much more like straight up nacho cheese than chili con queso, and very watery lettuce. Second dish: Enchiladas de Espinaca. The portion size of the dish left me hungry. I had to add a lot of salt to the enchiladas because it didn't have a lot of flavor. And I'm not trying to be mean, but the refried beans tasted like they came out of a can we get from the grocery store. The rice, which I love rice, tasted so terrible I literally had to spit it out because it tasted bizarre. It almost felt just above fast food. I normally don't leave bad reviews, and maybe they were having an off evening, but this was so disappointing I had to say something. Also, we had to ask for our chips and salsa to go. My suggestion (in short): Get the orders right, improve the chili con queso, and pack chips and salsa with the to go orders. Larger portion size for the Enchilada de Espinaca (the only one I'm familiar with), improve beans and rice, repeat back orders, and add extra napkins instead of the single one that comes in the little wrapped to...

Amazing food! We were visiting from Chicago where we definitely have our fair share of excellent Mexican food (and I myself am Mexican....so I know a little something something about good Mexican food), and I must say that this little hidden gem has got their menu RIGHT. For being a small business, I was super impressed with the variety of offerings on their menu. Most Mexican joints don't cater to their patrons, but there were so many creative vegetarian spins on classic Mexican dishes available which shows me that they have great business sense and draw in a variety of different customers. I had the vegetarian fajitas (with added steak as I'm not really vegetarian, I'm a dietitian and just LOVE vegetables) and it was the bomb! Perfectly grilled vegetables, homemade black beans, and these amazing cauliflower tortillas. My husband and I both left very satisfied and not feeling guilty at all as we were able to stay true to our nutrition preferences. Waitress was an absolute sweetheart and very attentive for as busy as she was this evening. Will definitely swing by here again when we are in the Austin area in...
