Really not sure how people are giving this 4 & 5 stars. Doing a quick meal after an airport pick up on a Tuesday night. First time dining here. Negatives:
Would not likely go back unless I wanted Soft Taco Beef Fajitas to go. $2.99 each...maybe 🤔, $1.99 hard shell...
Read moreI had high expectations due to the reviews. I ordered to go over the phone. The order was a ground beef chimichanga with chili con carne sauce, diced jalepeños on the inside and no sour cream in which we communicated at least twice and had that repeated back to us. What we got: sour cream, no guacamole which comes with the dish, jalepeños on the side, and the chili con queso literally looked much more like straight up nacho cheese than chili con queso, and very watery lettuce. Second dish: Enchiladas de Espinaca. The portion size of the dish left me hungry. I had to add a lot of salt to the enchiladas because it didn't have a lot of flavor. And I'm not trying to be mean, but the refried beans tasted like they came out of a can we get from the grocery store. The rice, which I love rice, tasted so terrible I literally had to spit it out because it tasted bizarre. It almost felt just above fast food. I normally don't leave bad reviews, and maybe they were having an off evening, but this was so disappointing I had to say something. Also, we had to ask for our chips and salsa to go. My suggestion (in short): Get the orders right, improve the chili con queso, and pack chips and salsa with the to go orders. Larger portion size for the Enchilada de Espinaca (the only one I'm familiar with), improve beans and rice, repeat back orders, and add extra napkins instead of the single one that comes in the little wrapped to...
Read moreAmazing food! We were visiting from Chicago where we definitely have our fair share of excellent Mexican food (and I myself am Mexican....so I know a little something something about good Mexican food), and I must say that this little hidden gem has got their menu RIGHT. For being a small business, I was super impressed with the variety of offerings on their menu. Most Mexican joints don't cater to their patrons, but there were so many creative vegetarian spins on classic Mexican dishes available which shows me that they have great business sense and draw in a variety of different customers. I had the vegetarian fajitas (with added steak as I'm not really vegetarian, I'm a dietitian and just LOVE vegetables) and it was the bomb! Perfectly grilled vegetables, homemade black beans, and these amazing cauliflower tortillas. My husband and I both left very satisfied and not feeling guilty at all as we were able to stay true to our nutrition preferences. Waitress was an absolute sweetheart and very attentive for as busy as she was this evening. Will definitely swing by here again when we are in the Austin area in...
