Jet's Pizza — Restaurant in Austin

I haven't had Jets pizza in years since moving to Texas and was so looking forward to finally getting my hands on some. I walked into the store around 8:15 CT on Saturday (1/24) and was not greeted at all. The kid behind the counter said not a word to me. I walked in, said hello.... nothing. I gave them my order number (assuming this was the next step), they got the pizza and handed it to me. Not a single response the entire time. I always tip service workers even on carry out, but this is why I need to rethink the whole tipping culture. When we got home, I cannot tell you how disappointed I was. I had ordered my pizza well done and they damn sure made certain it was cooked to a crisp. Before you say anything about that, I've always ordered my pizzas well done from Jets many times over. Never, ever, has it been burned this bad. There is no way someone took that pizza out and thought that a pizza burned that bad was okay to serve. We looked at the pizza when we got into my truck, but it was so dark that we couldn't tell it was burned to that extent. Otherwise, I would have gone right back in. Please bring this to whoever's attention. I don't want this to ruin my thoughts of returning one day. I mean, $30 for a pizza is a lot of money. Not to mention a 45-minute round trip to pick it up. Especially when the whole experience was this disappointing. I certainly regret not taking any pics of the pizza...

I’d like to start off with the pros. Made to order and ready within 15 min or less. The crust was crispy and the slices folded nicely. Product was nice and hot, cheese melted very nicely. Staff was friendly. Prices are reasonable. Restaurant was clean (no seating available at this time likely due to Covid) Now the Cons: Sauce is slightly sweet. Mozarella has a very chewy/rubbery almost synthetic consistency once it starts to cool down. More than I’m used to. Mozarella wasn’t very salty neither was the sauce. Did not detect any oregano or any herbs. With this said, I would still go here again. They have a Detroit style deep dish that I would like to try. I’m from the east coast. And my standards for pizza are based on those delicious Apizza’s I grew up with! Lol! While I love a good Jets pizza, I feel like the delivery and quality are significantly lacking. The previous 2 orders I placed for delivery were just very disappointing. On the first occasion, the delivery took 2 hours for a small pizza to be delivered (I’m 6 miles from this location). The manager called to apologize and offered to comp my pizza, which he never did. The pizza showed up after 2 hours and was literally cold. I decided to give them another chance and placed the same order for a small pizza. I was given a 1 hour delivery time. Well, 1 hour and 10 minutes later, I had to call the store to let them know my pizza still hadn’t arrived. They said the driver left 30 minutes prior and to give it another 20 minutes. Seriously 2 hours for a small pizza? Needless to say, it showed up 5 minutes after placing the call to the store, and yes, the pizza was cold, again! I don’t think I’ll be ordering from here anymore...
