Stepping into Ramen Tatsu-Ya, I was immediately struck by the meticulous attention to detail that permeated every corner. From the sleek, decor to the artful arrangement it was evident that this place took their craft seriously. What truly set this establishment apart, however, was their impeccable service. The staff's knowledge and passion for ramen shone through in every interaction. They guided me through the menu with enthusiasm, ensuring I chose a bowl tailored to my taste. It felt like they were genuinely invested in my dining experience. And the consistency? Oh, it was nothing short of astounding. On each visit, the noodles were flawlessly springy, the broth an orchestra of balanced flavors, and the toppings fresh and abundant. It was as if they had a secret formula, meticulously followed to deliver perfection time and time again. In a world where culinary experiences can be hit or miss,Ramen Tatsu-Ya stands as a beacon of reliability. With a devotion to detail, a team committed to service excellence, and an unwavering dedication to consistency, this ramen haven has secured its place in my heart and taste buds. A must-visit for any ramen connoisseur seeking an unforgettable dining adventure.

I’ve come to Tatsu-ya restaurants for a long time. I don’t know why, but this location cannot fulfill takeout orders in a timely fashion. I showed up at the takeout window at my appointed pick up time and was informed it would be a 20 minute wait because the kitchen was behind. Things happen I get it, but when I asked for a refund I was told it wouldn’t be made available until 9 PM. I am very familiar with the toast software and I don’t understand why that would be the case. I received a text message after picking up dinner from another establishment, saying my order was ready. 30 minutes after it was supposed to be picked up. I’ve tried calling the restaurant multiple times on two different numbers and I cannot receive a response. I was disappointed because I spent over $30 including a 20% tip and I received nothing. Not even an immediate refund. Just radio silence. I will not return to this location. Update: I returned in person and the shift lead made it right. I love the food and I’m so happy this was resolved.

Me and my boyfriend went here and OMG. Right upon walking in we were greeted warmly by staff and were able to browse the menus provided at the front counter. The ambiance and overall mood of the restaurant was so comfortable and interesting, we loved how welcoming the space was. We were struggling at first to pick which bowl to order and I was so pleased when Megan helped us out! She recommended what we should order as well as a delicious frozen Sake. Thank you, Megan! After we ordered we were seated and in no time at all we already had our food after a delicious gyoza appetizer. The ramen was delicious and so flavorful, my pork was cooked perfectly and the noodles were so good paired with all of the vegetable recommendations! Definitely will come back next time we visit Austin, Thank you for a great experience!

Update 10/8: revisiting my review to let everyone know I did go back yesterday and was able to order online and pick up in a reasonably amount of time (30 mins). Granted, we went pre-dinner rush but the second visit met my expectations. Seems like they're getting their groove! Excited to see if this continues the next visit!

First of all, want to say that my husband and I LOVE Ramen Tatsu-Ya. Have been going therr for years in different locations and just had a fab anniversary at DipDipDip. So, we were sooo stoked to get this location so close!

However, if you're in the Buda/south ATX area, save yourself some time/frustration and just order ahead at the S Lamar location and go pick it up (I know, sadly, it's a drive). At this new location, we placed a to go order in person (online was shut off) and waited an extremely long time in person to get our food (~1 hour). We watched those we had been standing in line with come and go, even those who had been standing behind us. While we did come during lunch "rush" hour (around 2), the answer of "we'll text you when it's ready" is just not acceptable at some point when they're aware you're waiting there. And, honestly, the rush did go down quickly and the restaurant was not packed.

It will take awhile for me to try this location again, if I ever do... and we would have been very frequent patrons (again, we love them!) Just UGH!

One redeeming thing is they ended up comping our meal, but I value my time a bit more. Hopefully they work the timing kinks out! Can confirm the food quality is...

So I agree with the recent reviews. I've been coming to this location for almost 2 years. The service is short and rude, it didn't used to be this way. I typically bring my own drink in or I'll go to Torchy's and get a fountain drink or some other drink to bring in since all they have are Tiny 8oz Diet Coke bottles for $4, which is a total rip off. Never had an issue doing this until this past Friday 5/24. I spent about $70 plus tip for 3 people. We are just about finished eating and whoever this lady is who works there decides to come up at the last minute and say "Sorry no outside food or drink". Oh yeah? What are you going to do? Are you going to Trespass me? Are you going to call the police? Why? Because you can't rip me off with the nonsense drink choices you offer? So I sat there and finished my food and my drink with no further contact with anyone after that snarky comment which was made in passing by the way because she's a coward. There are some things restaurants should die on a hill for and this is not one of them, especially for a repeat customer who spends on average $40 to $70 every time we come in. I'm a local, I live less than 2 miles away. Not everyone is a tourist transient. I realize you have high turn over for servers / cashiers but get a clue. As for the food, the Ramen has been about the same from when I first started coming, it's good. The Karaage has improved a lot, it used to be nearly burned every...
