Little Drinks Lounge — Restaurant in Austin

First time my friend and I tried this place for happy hour. We love to try new, local places and support small businesses when and where we can. We came here for happy hour. Menu explicitly states “$2 off cocktails and wine.” Well I got my check and was charged full price for my $8 Chardonnay wine. When I asked how come, I was told that HH only applies to cocktails only. TOTALLY MISLEADING, and actually, quite a scam from a first timers point of view. I had 3 glasses of Chardonnay @ $8 each, and was expecting a bill for $18 ($8- $2 HH special) but instead somehow I received a bill for $26?? My first time, and will NOT be returning here. I am always happy to support small businesses. Love trying new places. Paying an extra $2 x 3 is nothing, but when it comes to shady and lying business practices, it becomes an issue. Make sure you clarify with your server how much your drink is going to cost otherwise you’ll get a bill for double. Will NEVER be returning here. Lady at the bar was very rude and not kind when I questioned why I wasn’t receiving the happy hour special. Again, customer service. $6 is nothing- but they do not care about their customers. Misleading menu was to blame and even the lady (server) at the bar admitted that to my face. If you’re looking for a nice, chill HH spot, go somewhere else where you will actually be charged what you were...

We had a great time! We had great conversation with Tyler, who was an awesome bartender. He's super genuine and considerate. He was absolutely fantastic , we had a great experience.

I'm 24. I've been to SO many bars where I'm treated like a child, or had faces made at my ID because I look younger than 21, but this was absolutely not the case here. Tyler treated us with so much respect. We actually had checked out this bar the week it opened and although there wasn't a beer my boyfriend would try, before we left without anything, a female bartender gave us a coupon for our next visit. We came back with the coupon a few weeks later and were pleasantly surprised with a great beer selection. Please check this new bar out -- you will not be disappointed! ...

New staff is garbage and aggressive. I was a fan of the old crew and had spent plenty of money there. The new crew is absolute trash. Spend your money elsewhere.

Edit to the "owner" response: No scene was caused and I have been here a lot longer than any of the new staff combined, had they bothered to check the POS system they could validate that. I have never been cutoff or kicked out of this place before and I was a regular that had frequent interactions with Forest, Sabrina, Snake, amongst others.
