The 04 Lounge — Restaurant in Austin

AVOID THIS PLACE LIKE THE PLAGUE. Safe to say I will never return to this bar ever again in my entire life, and adamantly advising that all my local Austinite friends, family members, and friends from out of town to do the same. I came here with a friend in the evening and the only bartender (tall, lanky woman) took my drink order. She was rude, overtly disrespectful (not sure if it was because the color of my skin, ethnicity, or my gender but it absolutely felt like white-privileged, unwarranted discrimination), and clearly agitated with my drink order or me. This stroke me as unusual because she had a pleasant attitude and demeanor with the other customers and she dragged her feet to make me my drink. I literally did nothing to this woman, nor did my friend, to deserve such treatment. It took like 15 minutes to get a drink when the bar barely had like 2-3 people in it to begin with. And you guessed it - the other customers ordered drinks after us and of course they got their drinks before we received ours. If you respect yourself, you will not bring your business here. To the owner of this bar - I know this isn't your fault, but do better and hire better people that are qualified to be in positions that require decent...

This is a really great place. It's a total dive bar and you are either going to love it or hate it, there probably not much in-between. The inside is relatively small but still more than enough room plus there is room outside. They make good drink for very reasonable prices. It's just a good hang out spot.

Are you going to compare it to the W bar or Ranch? Of course not. This place is what it is and it's comfortable in it's skin. Interesting characters? Yes, this is Austin. Do yourself a favor and drop by. If it's not your kind of place you can go back to your $15...

I don't get out often and I'm not much on being around large groups of people. But for being my first time here I was definitely impressed and I will definitely be coming back . Great service staff is very helpful and attentive food is good and reasonably priced. And the atmosphere is phenomenal and that's coming from an introvert lol. If you're in Austin TX you...
