Machetes, Quesadillas Gigantes — Restaurant in Austin

For my daughter's bday lunch, she requested this place, she found on Google..

It's hard to find tripas these days, so when I found out they had them, I just had to! Bonus points for making them crispy with no problem at all.. my daughter got their birria tacos and said they were delicious.. my bf opted for a breakfast taco and their chicken flautas, which were fresh, crunchy, and delicious as well..

My only negative feedback was them not having taco plates.. I had to order rice and beans separately, which were just ok... needed a lil more flavor IMO..

Overall, it was a good visit.. I will come back for their crispy tripas when weather is better since seating is...

I had a craving for carne asada fries and google brought me here. I called before to make sure they were open. No answer but they returned my call shortly. When we arrived we were greated and had our order taken. The young man was very nice and asked if we had any questions about other menu items. It was very nice of him to take time and explain the menu items.He even let us sample some aqua Fresca which was really good so I had to add to my order too. 🌯👌 Great location for Mexican food. Good price for the portions they offer. Great variety to choose, even burgers and hot dogs available, sonora style. Drinks available too. Recommend the XL burrito, will not regret.
