I've been to the establishment enough to become a "regular ". I haven't had an issue nor caused one with any of the waitstaff/bartenders/managers. I tend to go with one or 2 friends on most occasions.
Last night, my friend and I were humiliated by the manager, Jasmine (I believe that's her name). She abruptly came up to us and asked us to pay our tab as we had to leave and leave immediately. She accused us of inappropriately touching one of the waitresses and making her feel uncomfortable. I asked that she please make sure that we were the subjects as this was a big accusation. She was extremely rude, condescending and had no interest in hearing our side. I knew for a fact that neither one of us had done anything because we hadn't gotten up from the bar in over an hour and besides that, that's definitely not something we would do. She then began to raise her voice so that everyone around us could hear what we were being accused of. Soon after, the waitresses that had made the claim, came almost at run to inform the manager that we were definitely not the guys and that they were the ones that had sat on the opposite side of the bar, but had left already. The manager just said "Oh", turned around, and just walked away. I was very mad and almost sure that she didn't even apologize (if she did, I didnt hear it). Maybe it's not really a big deal, but to me, it's quite the accusation. It's just been replaying in my mind how unprofessional she handled the situation.
Normally, I wouldn't say anything, but I've seen a similar thing happen with this manager before, but with a bartender. We were at the bar and we heard the manager confront and accuse the bartender of not ringing up drinks that were going to the DJ's table. This was inside the bar area and we could hear how rude she was being with the accusations. Ultimately, a different waitress informed the manager that her table had bought the rounds for the DJ table and thats why they were not on the bartenders ticket.
I would ask that this manager please undergo more training at...
Read moreMy boyfriend and I visited Bombshells on St. Patrick's Day evening in pursuit of having a few drinks and something good to eat. Upon arrival, the parking lot was packed so we thought that was a sign we would have a good time. The hostess told us it would be a 30-35 minute wait. We were seated in a booth after 20-30 minutes. I ordered the Pearl Harbor per the waitress's recommendation and he ordered an Old Fashion. Our drinks took a while because apparently they only had one bar back helping the bartenders. After taking a few sips of my drink, I noticed all I tasted was pineapple juice. I'm not a heavy drinker, but I do want liquor in my cocktail when I order one; it tasted like straight juice. Also, my boyfriend's drink was DISGUSTING. It tasted horribly bitter, not at all smooth and tasty like the Old Fashions he usually gets elsewhere. Regarding food, we ordered chips & queso that tasted stale and the salsa that came with it was watery AS HELL. I was so unimpressed with their menu that I didn't even order anything else. My boyfriend ordered wings and fries for us to share. By the time that came out, the waitress had brought us someone else's wings so she had to take it back and bring the correct one. Like everything else, the wings were nothing to be desired. I don't even think I ate any fries; I was just ready to leave. We barely ate the wings and didn't even take them to go. I guess they didn't have any bussers because there were so many empty, dirty tables around and people steadily coming in to be seated. The best thing Bombshells had going for it was the music. It was also a very diverse crowd: old, young, Black, white, Hispanic, gay, straight, couples, singles, friends, families, everybody. Hence the 2 stars. The customer service was okay, it's just shame because the vibe is there and the space of the place is really nice but our first impression left us feeling like we wasted our time and money. Therefore, we don't recommend it and won't...
Read moreSo it was my first time taking Randy, my buddy to bombshells. Historically, this place is what you would call a TnA Establishment that caters towards the 18 to dead male demographic.
He chooses to get chips and queso which is always a rookie mistake if not at a Mexican restaurant. The queso was bland and extra runny. The salsa was nice and spicy and was the highlight.
We suggested to my buddy to get the Full Brigade as it was what I was getting. Historically this place has good Chicken fried steak but I have grown tired of eating that at most places. I was intrigued by a glazed donut bun but I came to find later on that it was more bread than it was donut. Not necessarily a bad thing because of the rigidity of the food structure, made it a more fork and knife eating experience.
My wife chose the side dinner Caesar salad which at first came out large as it was misheard as side dinner and dinner salad definitely do sound the same. Also, the salad came out warm and a Caesar salad should be cold. So we did send that back and requested the side Caesar salad and that it be cold which it did come back out cold.
The burger itself was pretty good and also the stackage was held together with different sticks which was nice.
The meat was a little dry and the egg had not so much yoke as it cooked longer.
My friend's wife got the Citadel Grilled Chicken. She said it was okay but didn't have anything negative about it to say.
Overall the food was average for this go around. I do like the chicken fried steak as I do a good job with that.
As far as the atmosphere, the ladies are dressed in their attires that very much highlight features. I mean I wouldn't bring anybody kiddo wise but it's not disallowed.
The sports was pretty much on on every TV and it's nice to have your own TV at your table where you can get the game of your choice on by requesting your favorite game with your waitress. That is a very awesome luxury here...
