During my recent initial visit to MasFajitas in Pflugerville, TX, I was thoroughly impressed by the exceptional service provided by the staff. From the moment we arrived, all of the staff were attentive, friendly, and efficient, ensuring that our dining experience was as pleasant as possible. Our drinks stayed full. Their professionalism and warmth truly stood out and made us feel welcome.
However, the food did not meet our expectations. The fajitas I ordered arrived unsliced, making them difficult to enjoy. It was missing some of that skillet tasting flavor with seasoning. Otherwise, it came on a nice hot skillet. So my experience I will rate the fajitas like a 2.5.
Additionally, my family ordered the birria tacos which they said lacked the rich, savory flavor typically associated with this dish, they all stated their experience was quite bland.
My friend ordered the pulled pork plate, but unfortunately, it didn’t leave a lasting impression either. It was bland as well. He let me taste it and I must say from my experience it just was missing the zest of flavor from a traditional pulled pork.
While the culinary experience fell short, the outstanding service provided by the staff was a redeeming aspect of our visit. I hope my next experience the kitchen can elevate the quality of their dishes to match the high standard of their staff’s service.
Alcoholic beverages were pretty tasty but not too strong not too light. I will their drinks an 8.
Our table pretty tight for a group of six. Some tables had enough room for a party our size but not many.
Parking in the private was plentiful and without issue.
I may or may not try this play again in the future. However, it really didn’t leave me with an impression to...
Read morePretty decent Tex-Mex. My group of friends are big queso fiends, and we were disappointed with the queso. It's serviceable, though. Not bad queso, just not great.
I ordered the enchiladas with the spicy sauce, and they were excellent. Friends enjoyed the fajitas. One friend did not enjoy the crispy taco he ordered, but he finished it, so it wasn't terrible. He mentioned the meat could have used more seasoning. Overall the food was good, and I would absolutely return to try some more food.
Service was decent. No complaints, just nothing above and beyond or anything. I'm totally cool with waitstaff not trying to be buddies with the table and doing their job efficiently, which is how our waitress acted. She was still friendly and chummy when we were ordering, just didn't bother with any excess. I can appreciate that.
Atmosphere reminded me of a Chili's or Applebee's with Mexican flare. Nothing special. Feels like a chain restaurant, which isn't necessarily a bad thing. Didn't feel unique, though. Restaurant was clean and pleasant, as were the tables.
I would recommend this joint, especially if you feel like taking family or friends out for some good food. Maybe not everything on the menu is a five star feast, but you'll find...

Our waiter came right over to ask for our drinks and since we weren't quite ready yet, we asked for waters.. chips and salsa came right away.. we started off with pupusas, which I will always get whenever they are available no matter where.. these were small but delicious nonetheless and I asked for extra cabbage with no problems at all.. next we ordered margs (strawberry with grand marnier shot on the side and passion fruit) which were also good.. for main course we got the al pastor plate and those small tacos plate (taquitos).. both were delicious and flavorful! Some guy kept going to our table.. we didn't mind at all because he was making sure we were doing good and got everything we needed/wanted.. he even recommended to make egg scramble with the leftover meat we had (which we did next day for breakfast!) We ended with the apple pie dessert with ice cream.. can't complain!
Overall a great experience compared to the Round Rock location.. Will...
