This is a great place if you're into Southern comfort food and large portions. I prefer the Sunday brunch buffet. The staff is very friendly!

We went here for dinner (because plans to go to another place changed) and I personally found it difficult to pick something out that I liked and didn't look too heavy. We started with apps, and those were pretty good. The fried green tomatoes and the peppers and garlic on toasted bread were good. Then I had the pork chop, my Mom ordered the ribs because the Mac and cheese was too spicy for her, and my sister ordered the rainbow trout. I would have liked my pork more tender and it was too much. The ribs were too hot for my Mom to pick up because of the cast iron plate. And my sister didn't seem to enjoy the taste of the fish.

We returned the next day for brunch with the rest of the family including my sister's kids (we had planned this before going for dinner the night before). Brunch is $25 per person and under 5 is free. They had a lot of options like fruit, yoghurt, tortilla soup, eggs, waffles, sausage, grits, etc. I enjoyed most of the options except for the soup (I just can't pass up tortilla soup if it's on offer). I much preferred the breakfast items to dinner the night before. We also ordered a flight of breakfast cocktails, but we weren't really a fan.

My Mom was disappointed that the Downtown location's brunch that she remembers is better and has more options than this location. But I get that the experience isn't going to be exactly the same.

I'd recommend this place for the brunch and would go back. I think my niece and nephew enjoyed the brunch items. My nephew was covered in watermelon juice by the end and my niece liked the fruit, yoghurt,...

My boyfriend and I chose this place for a date night to celebrate my birthday, and I'm thrilled to say that the experience not only met but exceeded our high expectations, living up to its stellar rating.

Upon arrival, the hospitality was immediate and impressive. The host team greeted us warmly and graciously accommodated my request for a booth, setting the tone for a wonderful evening.

Our server, Bobby, demonstrated exceptional service. He skillfully balanced attentiveness with giving us space, allowing us time to settle in while providing a delightful snack of freshly popped popcorn.

As a fan of fried green tomatoes, I was excited to see them on the menu and they did not disappoint. What truly enhanced the dining experience was Bobby's willingness to accommodate my specific dish modifications. His understanding and effort in ensuring my meal was prepared exactly to my liking made my birthday celebration even more special.

My boyfriend's adventurous palate led him to try the venison Salisbury steak, which was well-prepared, though just not the dish for him. However, the blackened catfish he ordered next was a standout. The dish, with its melt-in-your-mouth catfish and a creamy, pecan-laden crawfish sauce is a must try. The grits, served as a side, struck the perfect balance of spice and flavor.

Bobby's extensive knowledge of the menu and his descriptive guidance were invaluable in curating our culinary journey, ensuring an unparalleled dining experience.

In summary, our visit was nothing short of remarkable. The combination of attentive service, exquisite cuisine, and a warm ambiance made my birthday celebration truly unforgettable. We are already looking forward to...

For the love of God and all that is holy...get to this place! There is nothing bad and only good, you will not be disappointed! Just a cut above.

I don't even know where to start. Drinks? Get you some of those! They have a bourbon slush that will change your life. Just trust. Also, they have flavored moonshine shots. Think dessert shot. The apple pie and banana pudding ones are fabulous. They are very different. The banana pudding one is sweet and hand to God, tastes JUST like banana pudding. It was soooo good. The apple pie is fantastic also, but it is not sweet. It tastes like apple pie, but without being sweet.

I think we've tried all the appetizers. You can't pick a bad one. That said, our favorite is the fried green tomatoes. The cathead biscuits are a repeat item for us as well.

If you're going for lunch, the backyard chicken sandwich is a good option.

My personal favorite is the creole shrimp and grits. Transcendent! Perfection on a plate. I will say, I wish it was served with a cathead biscuit instead of a baguette, that's my only complaint.

We've also tried the center-cut pork chop, the chicken fried steak, and green chile macaroni. The chicken fried steak is not to be missed!

I will say that while I love a good dessert, I will happily skip them here. Sorry. We've tried the chocolate espresso brownie, peanut butter mousse pie, and the red velvet cake...just get your shot of moonshine after dinner instead.

The service is the best and we have been told that the brunch on the weekend is fabulous. We've not tried it yet, but I'm sure it's as special as the rest of the menu.

Moonshine is a favorite in our family. Go visit and make it your new...

We went here on a Saturday evening for dinner. I didn’t make reservations in time but I was able to get on the waitlist before we left our house. It said there was a 30 minute wait which worked because we were about 25-30 minutes drive away. We received a text saying our table was ready as we were parking. Got seated as soon as we checked in with the front door. Our waitress was very friendly and attentive. We told her it was our first time there and she went over a few of the most ordered items with us. While we waited for our drink order they brought us popcorn and water quickly. My husband got one of their burgers and I asked her opinion between two items. Based on her suggestion I ordered the Seared Rainbow Trout. The food came out within ten minutes. My husband said his burger was good, tasted like it was fresh, not frozen. My dinner was excellent. Whatever they put on top of the trout made it very delicious. I ate the whole thing! The green beans were ok, could have been cooked less to be crisper and the little cornbread pieces were a little dry. But the fish made up for it all. They also had specialty drinks that night. I cannot remember what it was called but I ordered the one with vodka in it and a sugar rim, some kind of martini maybe 🤷🏼‍♀️. It was tasty. Our whole experience there was great. Just remember if you’re going to make reservations or join the waitlist before you leave your house. I heard the girls at the front door telling people it was a minimum 45 minute wait when we were leaving.

Overall this was a great experience, with delicious food and a very nice ambience. The only reason I believe it didn't deserve a 5 star is the server. We opted to sit outside and enjoy the evening which was really nice. We ordered our appetizers The Brussels Sprouts and Queso Fresco ,I ordered a Margarita house frozen it was absolutely delicious. My GF ordered a hard lemonade mixed drink. The server asked for our ID as per standard but did something really strange and somewhat alarming to women, he took her ID and had it for a good 10 min , I have been in the service industry for 25 plus years and there is no reason for that. It was very suspicious 🤔 once the ID went out of sight we both no longer felt comfortable. The server finally brought her drink and ID back and then proceeded to ask us again if we wanted appetizers which we had already ordered...we then waited about 12 more min for apps to arrive. Let me say everything here is delicious. The Brussels Sprouts were sweet and tangy, perfectly cooked in the center and crispy on the outside. The queso has corn in it and is a delicious blend of cheeses. I ordered Chicken fried steak as a entrée and my gf had a salad. Everything was plentiful and fresh . While I will definitely be back I hope I don't get the same server and if I do I hope he's not as high as he was today or creepy.

This was our first time trying this restaurant. It's our anniversary and my husband and I decided to pick a restaurant to order from. I have been seeing this restaurant and when I looked them up, the food looked delicious! So delicious that we couldn't decide, so we each ordered and entrée and then 3 appetizers and we were both very excited!!! Until I got home and nothing looked even remotely close to the pictures on their site. The biggest disappointment for me was my entrée, the Jalapeno steak (see below) I asked for it medium well (I do not like it bloody, at all) can't even eat the steak, gag just looking at it and all that blood it's sitting in 🤮 I forced myself to take one bite, because I spent good money on it. Think they forgot the Jalapeno part, well that and any seasoning. It just tasted like raw, bloody beef..so gross. The fried tomatoes and the hot honey wings were also very disappointing, and very much lacking in flavor. My husband's mac and cheese was just mediocre, in fact.. the only thing good was the street corn queso. So, with the amount of money I spent, I can definitely say I will never be back. Crushed because we were so excited and now our anniversary dinner is ruined 🤦‍♀️
