Photo of Menu at P.Terry and competitor. So I was across the street and stopped into this "other" establishment because I wanted a burger. Cheeseburger, Fries and a Drink was $16.53. I didn't even order. I walked out. Came across the street to P.Terry's and spent half of that! Regardless of the fact that the price was better, the food was exceptional. My food was hot, fresh and fast. Super small wait time because they make it fresh but not even long enough to notice. The girl at the register (Estephania, I think...) was super nice and helped me navigate the menu. I accidentally tossed my receipt which I should have kept to know my number! Oops! She was helpful in letting me know which order number I was too. The place was very clean and well kept. The special sauce on the burger gives it that little something special to set themselves apart. They have that chewable ice here too! The dentist wouldn't be happy about that but I sure was!!! I will be coming back to check out these shakes and cookies too! I took a photo of my food on snapchat and forgot to save it! It looked good and tasted even better. Thanks for the great experience, excellent food and exceptional service! Maybe one day you guys can open up in Bastrop, TX where I live! There is a new spot opened up for lease near a walmart where Fuzzy Tacos used to...
Read moreP. Terry's is an Austin essential! Fresh ingredients. Order the way you like it. Can't go wrong! Now, I won't say if it's better than In N Out or Whataburger, because I love all of these places (and others). Sometimes, though, I just have a craving for a P. Terry's burger over the others.
I usually get a double cheeseburger with everything on it, add pickles, onions, mustard, mayo, ketchup. Yum.
Their fries...eh....once in a blue moon. Their shakes you must try! I've also tried their veggie burger, and chicken burger. Both are pretty tasty. If I remember, the veggie burger had a little bit of spice to it. Pretty good. But overall, I just go for the beef burger. Also, the lemonade is worth a try! A little pricey, but I think it's worth it.
There are 2 drive-thru lanes, which are both open most of the time. They will let you know when one is closed. Very quick and efficient, especially during peak hours.
If you dine in, it has a little bit of an old school burger joint feel. Ample seating. If you have large groups (more than 4-5), you'll more than likely have to get multiple tables.
Parking lot can be a little tricky, especially if the drive-thru line is long. So, beware.
Overall, great place to...
Read moreI am a huge P Terry’s fan and have been coming to this location for years now but I’ve finally just had to say, of all P Terry locations this one gets my order wrong about 95% of the time. I will say management and staff have always been very kind about the mess ups and give me a free next meal but the fact that I can’t ever just come here and get my order right is a little ridiculous. I truly mean it 95% of the time my order is wrong, despite always repeating myself at the drive through line. It’s not a complicated order simply on a wheat bun with no cheese and no sauce and for some reason no matter what, no matter when, this just can never be done the first time. Not sure what it is because literally every other location always gets it right, I only come to this one because it’s convenient but now it’s time I start driving 20 minutes further to the Bee Cave one to save myself the hassle of ordering twice and wasting food. Now I’ve made it a habit to check before I get home but it would be nice to just get the meal I order the first time. That being said, I do love P Terrys and know they are all hard workers but a little extra attentiveness...
