Tl;Dr - food was overpriced for the portion sizes, and the poke bowls tasted bad.
Service and speed was fine, but the food was not good. I ordered a 'large' "aloha poke" with salmon, carrots, and white rice.
First off, calling the bowl 'large' is something I disagree with. If this was a bowl of soup, yes it is large. However it's not soup. When half of the bowl is filled with a base of filler (rice), there is nothing large about it that justified the price tag.
My first bite was overall slightly offensive. I am unsure what exactly the problem was, but I suspect it was largely the salmon tasting bad, plus a lack of overall flavors. Since I ordered the food to go, I was able to salvage the meal by adding things to my bowl: additional soy sauce, sri racha, onion chips, and sesame oil. This improved the flavor, but at the end I had to eat around the terrible protein. It's a big shame we paid so much for such a bad meal. My partner and I will not be...
Read moreFirst time I went there was no customers inside. I went in and ordered an OG with Spicy tuna, which they have another name for. Instead of offering me help with the menu as it was obvious I had never ordered there before the guy taking my order proceeded to be very condescending and appeared extremely impatient that I didn’t know the menu. This rubbed me the wrong way as I was literally the only customer. I thought maybe he was having a bad day and looked past it. I got my Poke and not going to lie it was good. I came back and a different guy was working there who was very friendly and the experience was great. I went again today and the original guy who was condescending took my order. He again had such a bad attitude that in the middle of my order I just walked. Again, I was the only customer.
TLDR: Food is okay and one guys attitude who works there is so terrible it makes the experience not worth it. There is better poke 8...
Read morePoke Poke was really good - I’m not used to their ordering style - normally I order buffet styl and build my own bowl but they have a set type of menu that you can customize by adding/removing items.
I ordered the super spicy one which actually made my mouth burn for a bit but was super tasty and enjoyable. My wife ordered their most popular non-spicy poke option and really enjoyed it as well. The portions are deceiving as they serve their poke on a smaller carton bowl/boat but is actually a decent sized portion. The flavors were great and the two young adolescents helping us were nice. The shuffle board inside is a cool touch and we got to play while our poke bowls/boats were being made.
A bit in the pricier side because you have to pay for some basic toppings (fried garlic $.50 and seaweed salad was an extra $3) but it was...
