Rice on the Hill — Restaurant in Austin

Ordered a plate of Pork in Garlic Sauce, Two Egg-rolls and a side of Double Delight (Chicken & Shrimp).

The service and food truck were great, it was decently priced and they cooked it on the spot. For a place called Rice on the Hill they should either change their rice recipe or the name. I agree with others that it was plain and not what we expected at all.

On the Entrees there were just vegetables with very small amounts of protein. I’m not sure if it’s because they were about to close or what but we did not enjoy it. I only found 1 piece of shrimp on the Double Delight I had.

Came here today with my bf for lunch, we ordered takeout and loved it! I had the house fried rice and general too chicken. My bf had the sesame chicken and wontons! The wontons are so good when paired with rice, I like breaking the wontons and topping it with the rice. Staff is so sweet and everything was amazing. We'll definitely be returning! The only thing I wish was that there was more shrimp in the fried rice since I only found 1 or 2 pieces, but this place still deserves 5 stars and can take my money any day lol plus its so...

The portions are wonderful. But there isn't much meat in it. I got house fried rice, chicken and shrimp fried rice, chicken wings, and crab puffs/ aka crab ragons. The puffs were overcooked. The rice didn't have much meat in it. There were only 4 shrimps in total in both containers. The wings were definitely not the traditional chicken wings you would get. The flavor was also off.
