BEWARE! We booked this hotel at the Austin airport for a ladies trip because it offered park, stay, and shuttle to and from the airport for an additional 10.00 a day. The 445am shuttle to the airport was available but upon return Sunday afternoon at 4pm the shuttle was a 2 hour wait because it was "out for maintenence" We were told to uber back and they would reimburse us. It took 2 ubers with luggage to get us back to the hotel. Upon return to the hotel, the attendant Tommy ( who had just come on duty) said he would speak with management and see what he could do but he was left with the mess to clean up and he doesn't have the ability to reimburse himself. The 2 ubers cost us 65.00. Upon this conversation, the shuttle van drove up with the manager Maei driving it. We explained they left us hanging at the airport and we couldn't wait 2 hours as we have a long drive home to south Texss. He refused to reimburse anything. But wanted to give us 15.00 to help with the Uber. We stated to him this was unexceptable as we spent 65.00 and we feel best western plus corporate should be made aware. He stated do what ever we needed to do and continued out the door to the van with a rolling cart. He proceeded to unload a van full of laundry! The van was not out for maintenence, they had been out doing laundry when they had committed to shuttle service. We loaded our bags in our van and Maei approach us offering to reimburse 30.00 dollars. Although it did not cover our uber ride, we took it but did let him know we still felt that the hotel did not honored what they advertised and we would leave the appropriate review.

My sister and I had to make a last-minute hotel change and decided to spend an extra $30 per night on this Best Western, but honestly, it wasn’t worth it. The hotel was clean, and the room was spacious, but it didn’t feel comfortable or inviting. The hallways were dark and creepy, and parking was a major issue—we had to park in the back near the trash cans, which felt unsafe, especially late at night after coming back from a concert. Checking in was a bit chaotic. I saw a group of guests arguing with the staff about extra charges, which was concerning. The room itself was musty, and the AC made the air so damp that even the beds and our clothes felt wet. The bathroom wasn’t much better: the toilet was awkwardly low (felt like it was for kids), and the toiletries were so tiny. When I asked the front desk for more, they didn’t seem to understand and gave me toilet paper instead. I ended up going to Target for supplies. Overall, for the extra money, I expected way more comfort and a better experience. While the staff was polite, I wouldn’t stay here again. Definitely beware of the super limited parking if you plan to stay here. I’d recommend looking at other options in the area.

The 3 stars are for a great job the housekeepers are doing. The check in wasn't a good experience. The front desk lady, a blond-hair lady, wasn't courtous. She didn't greet. Or say anything about my stay. Or thank or anything. She didn't say anything about the breakfast or location of stuff we usually used at a hotel. I was the one who was asking the questions and she juat nodded. I write this because Im used to been greeted. And usually they say "Hello" "What brings u to the city" "Enjoy ur stay" and they tell u about the breakfast or location of ice, vending machines, elevator. Etc. This time it wasn't like that at all. I checked in 5/10- 3:30ish I have to say that the housekeepers were courtous and helpful. And brought extra staff that we needed. And they were polite. The room was clean. No bad smells. Bathroom was clean. No bad odors. Beds were comfortable. The room does need more outlets for plugin electronic.

I came to BW airport inn Austin for 1 night business trip. Courtesy van was a plus and efficient. Checked in early and front desk clerk was very sweet and accomodating to us. After this things went down hill. We were exhausted since we awakened at 130 am to catch our flight to Austin and looked forward to getting some sleep for a late day meeting. Approximately 90 min after we were asleep a very violent fight broke out just outside our third floor room. There were explicative, racial name calling and threats I do not care to mention. As the tension escalated my wife called the front desk for security because they were now obviously hitting and throwing punches. After some time one of them ran off down the hallway and the maintainence or custodian person arrived on the elevator just outside my door. When I opened my door I saw a male bleeding from the head with blood all over the wall while he was slumped against the wall in a drunken stupor. The smell of alcohol was overwhelming as soon as I opened my door. The "security" person helped the man up and the man disappeared into the elevator yelling while the blood was being cleaned up. I learned later this person has had other altercations and been warned but has been a guest there for several weeks. Later in the day I saw two females come off the elevator with a large quantity of beer and other alcoholic beverages. They headed down toward the end of the hallway and sure enough, during the middle of the same night an incident broke out in front of their room with pounding and yelling outside their door. My colleague was across the hall from that room and he was awakened. Sounded like another altercation.

I honestly don't think the management does an effective job of evicting and that they tolerate these events. Sadly it negatively affects guests such as myself who deserve a quiet and safe environment. Seems like a party hotel. I certainly would not have felt safe having a child there. The breakfast consisted of eggs, bacon, sausage, lots of hot drink options. They also had the standard waffle maker, fruit, bread, juice, etc. The meat was cold, there was not decaf coffee available in the machine, and not surprisingly no gluten free options (but I typically expect the latter so no biggie). The bed was comfortable and room clean. Decor seemed dated but it was kept up. I would not recommend staying here unless you want to party and be loud without getting evicted. The three staff members I interacted with were nice however. The workout room had a treadmill, stair stepper, and bicycle along with standard weight machine. The bicycle was missing a peddle but the other stuff worked. Can't recommend. There are better choices for...

I checked in at 3:30 with an individual that came out of a room marked “office” she was talking to someone on the cellphone and told them to hold on. She asked me for my name and found my reservation. She then tells me there’s a $25 refundable deposit so I paid. She makes me sign the confirmation receipt and gives me my room keys. We walk into room it’s a queen suite didn’t think anything of it being that normally my rooms are always upgraded. We were in the room for about 2 hours before we changed to head to dinner and take a stroll around Austin. We ended up getting back to hotel around 11:30. We had both our key cards and attempted both to open room however it did not work. We tried each one over 5 times and nothing. My husband went to the front office and after like 3 minutes ends up calling me to head over there. I go and the gentleman in the front said I had to wait for his supervisor because they had put some restriction on my room to not allow us back in. We were very confused, finally the supervisor shows up and starts questioning what time I checked in and if I remembered with who. He then proceeds to inform me that the room I was in was not checked out to everyone and that I shouldn’t be that room. I was even more confused because I checked in and had keys given to me by one of the employees there so not sure what he expected me to say. He then just stands there staring at the screen for awhile and finally says well I guess I’ll just let you stay in that room now like if he was doing me a favor. Once again it was close to midnight and this man walked into our room and was looking around then locked us out of the room. I don’t understand why he didn’t speak to his employee about the situation instead of taking it out on the customer. I obviously signed the receipt confirmation AND paid the deposit. It’s not my fault that the employee put us in the room, i never asked to be placed there. Maybe their employees need to be retrained but don’t take it out on the customer who is just trying to get some rest.

Also pool is tiny! Food options for breakfast aren’t that great! Definitely seen better, the tru by Hilton down the street...

I’m giving this hotel a review of two stars based primarily on my interaction with housekeeping & breakfast staff and the graffiti on the wall in the hallway outside my room.

The room was in overall good repair, the mattress was firm (which I liked) and linens comfortable. The shower had plenty of hot water and was very relaxing.

Furniture in the room had some scuffs along the bottom from being hit with a vacuum and the paint could used a touch up here and there, but overall it was an OK room.

I stayed two nights, and when housekeeping knocked on my door around 10am after the first night, I was in the middle of changing my insulin pump. I looked through the peephole and asked if I could have five more minutes to finish changing my pump, and the cleaning staffer rolled her eyes and mouthed something that looked profane…at this point I just said “nevermind, I don’t need cleaning service today” and she pushed her cart off to do the next room.

Now I realize that she probably didn’t know I was looking through the peephole when talking to her, but come on — you’re in public and should have common sense to not respond rudely to someone just because they’re not standing right in front of you.

Secondly, at breakfast they had a young man running around stocking the small fridge and other food items on the counter. He was sniffling and wiping his nose with his bare hands and continuing to go into the kitchen and bring out stuff to put on the food line. This would be gross at anytime but especially right now considering COVID.

My other major issue with the hotel was the graffiti on the wall outside my room. I’ll upload a photo of it to go with my review — at the very least management could have hung a picture over it or something. I got the feeling that perhaps they’ve been cutting corners though.

Overall the room was comfortable and front desk staff were friendly. I would choose not to stay at this Best Western again based on my interaction with the cleaning and breakfast staff and the graffiti on the...
