First of all let me start by saying I am Middle Eastern, so I truly know the real Mediterranean food quilty, falafel is one of our main well known wraps by having a very tasty crunchy balls with soft inside, me and Mt husband and my 10 months old infant ordered from there 2 falafel wraps a 6 pieces of falafel for my hungry baby and fries, come to discover I had to pay 40 dollar something for such order, which I know in this country this type of food is expensive. But I never complained when it comes to food that is worth it... gosh the falafel was horrible 😫 as if made by someone who has nothing relayed to our region and the amazing taste of it. It was hard over seasoned with cumin which we all know we shouldn't put to much ciz it's such strong taste that will ruin whatever plate if u ever do it. And the wraps are tiney, I was very very disappointed what made me mad is that I had to pay 40 dollars for basically 2 sandwich and an appetizers while I van have a full meal in another restaurant.. I will never talk about there other food but skip the falafel if u go.there they might have better plates... I should be fully reimbursed for that disappointment of a meal especially that I am from that culture so I know what am talking about... but hey we move on in life 😌 😏 I hope they care about their customers and make it happen. Because as an advocate for the middle eastern culture I have to defend our heritage by saying this...
Read moreThis is a great place to get beef gyros, beef/chicken shawrama, rice, freshly made falafel and pitas...they also make the pitas as they're ordered..so good! The seasoning could more intense, but that's my taste. Alone the food is delicious because of its freshness and quality ingredients. The one exception is the "white sauce"; a common issue with the Greek/Persian/Middle Eastern places in Austin generally. I order my food plain and add my own garlic, cucumber, dill tzatziki at home. Sorry, I couldn't hold back to take pics. Next time, I promise, it disappeared quickly it was so good! I highly recommend the place.
I typically order out, but the place is nice; it's a regular deli setting. The staff are great. They're very friendly, nice guys! Just a tip, be prepared with your chosen translator app and set it for Turkish. It will help if you need to ask questions. Some of the guys are taking ESL classes but have to work a lot. The food is so good I'm not surprised....I had a couple convos with them while I was waiting for my food. Like I said, friendly, nice guys. And don't forget the baklava; it's pistachio and it's...
Read moreYou are in Austin, Texas and you are hungry... If you, like me, are picky and looking for food that your palate is used to, this is the first place to go... At the entrance, while your car is waiting in the parking lot, you are welcomed inside with courtesy and smiling faces... A friendly and warm environment, fast service and delicious food... These are what I expect from a restaurant... Mediterranean salad, chicken wrap and of course "falafel" are among the most popular dishes... Don't ask about the hummus, it is superb... "Combo beef" and "chicken plate" are among my favorites, but as a Mediterranean, I can't ignore hummus... The prices are not that expensive... You can fill up between $10 and $40 per person... There are also vegetarian options... Before I forget, this place is not only a restaurant... They also take food orders for special events... I heard that they are good at that too... I congratulate the friendly atmosphere, delicious food, kind staff and "good artisan bosses" and I say "come, see, eat"... I am sure you will be...
