My new go-to spot whenever I’m in North ATX. Actually, this place is well worth the drive from South Austin no matter what. So much thought and hard work goes into every beer and you can tell… try the whole beautiful beer board, you won’t be disappointed. They don’t allow dogs inside but there are picnic tables out front that are perfect! Extremely kid friendly - there’s a whole play spot for the kiddos. Very supportive of musicians, artists, and the community in general. Such a great experience at Slackers Brewery! Not only is the atmosphere fun and laid-back, but what really made my day was finding vegan food options on the menu. It’s honestly so rare to find businesses in the neighborhood that offer something for people who don’t eat animal products, so I felt really included and appreciated. The fact that I can enjoy a good drink and have something to eat without having to stress about what was in it was such a relief. The owner Derek is so friendly and kind, and it takes about 30 seconds talking with him to realize how passionate he is about beer, coffee, and community.

The coffee is amazing, they locally roast their beans and they are high quality. It makes for a smooth, balanced cup not too acidic but just right.

They have a great selection of beers from around town as well as brewing their own, and they have a full kitchen. This place is centered around providing an atmosphere for the community to get together and I love that passion/mission.
