I had the cheesy egg toast, a bowl of fruit, and a large cold brew with vanilla and macadamia milk. Everything tasted pretty good!! The eggs were nice and fluffy and the cold brew was delicious even though it settled a little while I waited in line to order (I was early and ordered just a coffee at first since I didn't know how long I'd wait and hold the table). I took the only table available. The place is pretty small so I'd arrive with a lot of time to find one because there are no reservations. The prices were reasonable and the sandwiches looked amazing for me to try next time! The fruit bowl was artfully presented although there were not a lot of fruits, I liked how much care was taken to slice the grapes and arrange the peach slices in the bowl. There are a lot of plants making the ambiance really pleasant for Sunday brunch. The little magnet wall was just a touch of Austin weird, I loved it! I also had a bite of my friend's pancake and with the chocolate chips it was...
Read moreI have had so much disgusting bread in Austin unfortunately, for some reason many places love serving stale, inedible chewy bread that is so unpleasant to eat. This is the first time I have had bread and cheese and well, everything else of this quality in Austin, me and my dad have travelled to Spain, Italy and France and have indulged in the beauties of the cuisine, but until now we had not been able to find anything of such quality until now!! Spread and Co. takes their craft seriously with every platter carefully balancing flavours, textures and presentation. I do not believe you will find anything better than this in Austin, the staff is friendly, the food is beyond amazing, and the place itself is wonderfully decorated and pleasing to be in, thank you for starting of my day so...
Read moreDefinition of a little gem. Stumbled on this place on a Sunday afternoon and am throughly charmed.
Intimate atmosphere, remarkably friendly staff (that sincere sort of friendliness), small market of natural + minimally processed goodies, delicious coffee (strongly recc the Sweet Date Chai — make it dirty!), and a neat cheese selection. Oh, and they had great music selection — Stevie Ray Vaughan playing at a very reasonable volume.
Love that they source a lot of their bread products locally or make in-house. Their house made syrups are also worth the extra sugar calories.
The brekky sandwich ($8) was underwhelming, but could easily be revamped. It wasn’t super flavorful or interesting.
Heads up: seating is VERY limited, so it’s not a spot for a big group.
Hope to see this...
