Update:
My husband and I were invited back by the owner, Brian for a redo. My previous review was definitely an off day because this time it was amazing. The biscuit was buttery and fluffy, the chicken was thick and juicy with perfectly seasoned breading. Everything was perfectly balanced and truly was a delight to eat.
We got the fries and dill dipping suace which if you haven't tried it I would highly recommend you get it on your next trip. On the day that we went it was pretty windy out, we ate our fries last and they were still pretty warm and not soggy.
Raul also gave us an off menu drink which is the mixture of apricot sweet tea and strawberry lemonade. Honestly this was sooooooooooo good, a splendid beverage that was sweet(but not overly sweet) and refreshing. This honestly should be the drink of the summer.
Finally we got an order of Dough Doughs, I was a bit surprised by the texture as it was more cakey than expected but still pretty good. The jam dipping suace was super good and honestly if I wasn't already full from the biscuit and fries I probably could have eaten another 20 of them.
This visit was the BBB I fell in love with, amazing food and staff members. A big thank you again to Brian for reaching out to us and making sure that we had a better experience. He truly takes pride in his work and his company and ensuring each customer gets the best visit they can.
Thank you again to Brian, Raul, and the BBB staff for the amazing food and service. BBB truly is the best buscuit spot in Austin and you're doing yourself a disservice if you don't try it out. Went and got a queen beak sandwich the other day and it felt like i was just eating a biscuit and breading. The chicken patty was so thin and small and to top it off it was overcooked.
Donāt get me wrong the biscuit, honey sauce, and mayo were fantastic but I feel like I shouldāve just ordered a biscuit with those sauces on the side.
This saddens me as this used to be my go to for a good chicken biscuit sandwich š Iāll definitely give them another shot in the future and hopefully have a...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreStopped in today around 12:15 to place an order. I completely missed the reviews letting people know there's only outdoor seating to accommodate maybe 10-15 people at best. It was pretty filled aside from 2 spots and I had my 3 year old with, so we opted to just take ours to-go. They have a tablet kiosk to order one party at a time or you can just order online via phone. There's a pickup window where everyone lined up to grab their orders- it was moving pretty quickly too. My order took about 15 minutes, not too shabby! We ordered a few little dippers, bird bird bacon, dough-doughs, peach tea, and a lovely day. The biscuits were pretty dang good. No love having been able to top the Denver Biscuit Company's ever... I was hoping they'd pull it off here, but there's just something special about that place and their dough. Hit them up when you go to Denver- TRUST ME! I loved that the little dippers here came with marinara sauce on the side. They were my fave! The lovely day had a pesto sauce that seemed out of place. I should have thought to remove it when ordering. I think it just didn't mesh well with the other flavors in the chicken sausage, egg, and cheese. The bird bird bacon was everything I wished a McMuffin was! Seriously! The dough doughs were pretty good, but myself, my husband, and kids all agreed they just werenāt the same as a mini donut. Harder and sweeter on the outside, but a little bland inside. Still worth a try in my opinion- especially if you love cinnamon sugar. The only reason for 3 stars is that both my husband and myself are experiencing some stomach aches within 30-40 minutes of eating the food that morning. I don't know wth it came from... I know it's usually dairy or meat. We weren't throwing up sick or anything, but we totally feel off now. I'd say maybe the grease? But we've been eating fries, donuts, and all the other awesome tastes Austin has to offer up and this has been the only place that left us feeling oddly. Still worth a stop in and we'll maybe check it out again when we're...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI've been a loyal Bird Bird Biscuit fan for years and have recommend it to anyone visiting Austin. The chicken sandwiches, especially the Carolina Caviar and Queen Beak, were once unmatched, with perfectly seasoned, flavorful chicken and incredible breading. A few weeks ago, I left disappointed after two visits where the chicken seemed unlike what Bird Bird was known for. I even suspected a change in ingredients. After sharing my experience, the owner invited me back to give it another try. I truly appreciate that outreach, and I'm happy to say my return visit was a much better experience. The Carolina was delicious again. While the chicken is still different from the original, it had much more flavor this time, and the sandwich overall was excellent. The customer service was still top notch! I'm glad to see Bird Bird Biscuit still serving great food and making the effort to keep customers happy. I'll be back--and I'm hopeful the quality stays consistent moving forward.
Original review from 2 years ago:
I visited this Bird Bird Biscuit location on Wednesday for the first time after seeing a review video on social media. I ordered the Queen Beak & the Fire Bird. These were both fresh & delicious! But what made me a repeat customer (I came back today) was one of the employees named, Max. A friend and I were eating our meal in my car and Max came out, checked in, brought extra napkins and straws and asked if we needed anything else or would like to order anything else. I was very impressed and appreciative of this gesture as this level of customer service is not as easy to find nowadays. Due to the quality of food and top tier customer service, I will be a regular at Bird...
