Sweet Charli Girl — Restaurant in Austin

Sweet Charli Girl is my favorite bakery in Austin. Not just because Rachel named it after her sweet black lab (I have one too!) or because her treats are entirely gluten-free, but because everything she makes is SO DANG DELICIOUS! Whether you're placing a custom order or picking up something while you stroll through the Mueller Farmers Market, you can guarantee that you're bringing home the highest-quality, most delicious GF baked goods in the entire city. It's really difficult to make GF treats without them being dense or dry, but Rachel has cracked the code. Most of my closest friends are celiac, so I always have Rachel bake something for me to take to our dinner parties. Most recently, we had a PINK THEMED girl dinner, and Rachel made us the most delicious pink cream cheese frosting pink velvet cupcakes! They had the cutest, sparkly edible pearl and sprinkles on top as well. By now, I've tried it all -- the cakes, the cookies, the cupcakes, and every single order is a knock out of the park. I purchased a gluten-free cookie cake from Sweet Charli Girl, and I couldn't be happier with my decision! As someone with celiac disease, finding delicious gluten-free baked goods can be challenging, but Sweet Charli Girl exceeded all my expectations.

A true talent and gem. Initially I thought man how does one have 5 stars for like, every review. I was skeptical. But when I got the cake, let me tell you - IT MADE SENSE. If I could give 6 stars I would.

It was the best lemon cake* I have ever had. And I mean it- this is a non gluten cake but I’m also comparing it with previous gluten cakes I’ve had. Still beats those cakes. The taste of the lemon didn’t feel artificial, it was like a…real lemon cake idk how else to describe it but it being amazing and not overly sweet, just a perfect lemony cake. Texture wasn’t dry, very moist. And the buttercream was amazing. Also the cake was so cute!!! It’s been years since my sister had a cake and honestly it was the perfect way to end the night.

The owner had true intentions to make sure there was no hiccups, was very accommodating and very* kind. Honestly thank you for everything and making this day special.
