Thicket Food Park — Restaurant in Austin

My wife and I stopped by and was pleasantly surprised by all the offering. Sajad is the chef of "Atia's Kitchen" Authentic Pakistani Cuisine, and recommended the chicken Karhai which was delicious. It was subtle but very flavorful. The tomatos really came through and finished off with a nice spice. A very filling, light and tasty meal. Chef said his meals are a fusion of his family recipes and his personal culinary experience. Thanks so much Sajad!

Next we had the pork skewers from "Gyros G R." We really enjoy when the ingredients stand out, and these kabobs did the trick. Served with fries and pita, the pork was spinkles with fresh herbs that really complimented the meat. Overall a great experience.

They have slowly been working on the place and it's finally getting pretty comfortable , they have a descent on site trailer style bathroom with sinks to wash your hands (so much better then porta-can) they are continuing to clean up and landscape as well as work on the parking area . Probably the biggest complaint is that there is no unity as to when each food trailer is open/closed , I was there recently on a Friday late afternoon and more then half the trailers were closed ! I had checked and specific trailer I wanted was open but just seems you should be able to walk in on Friday and have multiple choices . Perhaps the park should require trailers be open during certain peek times to maintain a slot 🤷 definitely worth the visit shout out to...

This was our first time here. We arrived in the evening and there was almost no one there. We had some amazing pasta from Artipasta. The seating was ample. There was lighting everywhere but not too bright, so if you are vision impaired take that under consideration. There were kooky things on the trees to look at. A nice shaded location. There were things for children to play on which was cool. The food trucks make their own hours, so check for their specific times if you have a particular cuisine in mind. In general there was a wide selection of trucks. Coffee, hair services, Italian, Mexican, Vegan, Indian, dessert, corn dogs, etc. Pretty nifty location. We will definitely come back.
