This place has out of this world tacos and tortas with delicious salsas! Always quick and so hospitable. I could eat this food everyday!!

I want to just point out that Slowbalt’s reviews for all businesses are extremely unfair and rude. To write a terrible review and hope a family run truck goes out of business because they ran out of salsa or because someone they spoke to at the truck didn’t speak English is just a miserable way to spend your life. Also, on this truck review on 1st, they said the Congress truck is good. Then why did you also give it one star for running out of one kind of salsa one night?? They’re popular - you will live. Rude attitudes… they charged me the wrong meat for my torta. The music is so loud I had to tell them multiple times what I wanted - only for them to still put in the wrong order.

Their tacos are way overpriced for the size. You can find better ones out there for cheaper or bigger at the same price. They also tried to short my husband one taco and they argued with him that it was only 3 until he showed them the receipt. (Mind you - we BOTH speak Spanish so it wasn’t a language barrier). NEVER coming back. This was my second time stopping at an Amazonas truck. I was even more disappointed this time.

Yum! I just got a Barbacoa taco this morning. It was delicious! I love that they put grilled onions instead of raw on it. It was my first time so I got one red and one green salsa to try. They were both delicious, but I especially loved the red salsa that was smoky. It tasted like it had chipotle in it. The only complaint is that they put the salsa in these little plastic baggies with a knot at the top which you cannot untie so you have to poke a hole in it and squeeze the baggie to put salsa on your taco, at risk of it bursting and spraying all over you, which is what happened to me. I wish they would use the little cups and lids or not tie the knot so tightly...
