i haven’t been to this location since covid began. i went back for the first time last week and i regret it. i walked in, no one was in there so i thought to myself this should be painless and quick. just my luck, total opposite. the person working the register (older woman in a casual long sleeve) wasn’t very helpful. i as..anything she recommends that was kid approved / friendly and she just said no and didn’t offer any help. so i ordered my sandwich and waited 10 minutes. i then asked how much longer it was going to take, i had my 8month old with me and she wasn’t having it anymore - becoming super fussy and antsy. the girl working the front after the lady left that took my order just kept looking at me, didn’t smile whatsoever. she said they were bringing it out after she went to the back and just laughed with whoever was back there. it seemed as if my order was not seen or they just took their sweet time. i ended up asking for a refund and i was just going to leave and she gave me a look and said “you don’t want it anymore?” i said no-you said it was done 5 min ago so i assume it’s cold at this point and this shouldn’t take this long i’m the only one in the lobby. the guy in the back that made the sandwich said they would refund me. it’s been a week and i have yet to see my money. i don’t necessarily need the money it’s just all the small things that added up that made this a very poor experience and after asking for a refund and not getting it due to poor service i’m pretty ticked off and will not...
Read moreI went in about 10AM this morning and they were very busy so I had high hopes.
After the 4th or 5th customer group that got their orders before me (that placed thier orders after me) I went and asked one of the employees to check on my order I was told "just wait and we'll tell you when it's ready"
I got my order about 15 min later and the egg on my wife's sandwich was like rubber and my egg was burnt. I'd asked for scrambled egg on mine and appparently they think busting the yolk is a scrambled egg.
I paid $23 for 2 bagels with egg bacon and cheese (that included gratuity) it was money wasted because I fed my egg to our dog at the park.
Einstein's and Panera are far better AND it's a better value.
The tables i saw were all dirty and they had a pile of on-line orders that were there when I ordered and still there when I left a half hour later.
Between the rude customer service and the very low quality food (along with the cost) I will not go back, some places deserve a second chance but NOT...
Read moreI'm a simple guy when it comes to bagels. I like my bagels toasted. I enjoy a good spread. I enjoy friendly service. Nice, clean atmosphere is a plus. And luckily, I get all of that on a consistent basis here at Wholy Bagel.
I love that they somehow always seem to recognize me and my young daughter. It makes each visit feel special, and my daughter loves showing off her Wholy Bagel sticker to pretty much everyone after each visit.
As for food, I usually stick to the everything bagel (toasted) with their in-house scallion spread. This is my go to, and it's superb here! I also like their breakfast bagels, which I usually go with egg, Taylor ham, and cheddar on their jalapeño cheddar bagel. It's really as delicious as it sounds!
The coffee leaves a bit to be desired, but I come for the bagels. Plus, there's a Starbucks next door if you're looking for coffee.
All in all, I'm thrilled to have a Wholy Bagel in the neighborhood. It's easily one of of my favorite local joints in the...
