In the past, I've had a great experience with Yaghi's. No problems until today. I ordered the spinach and chicken specialty pizza online (added gyro meat, this is important later), along with some other items. A few minutes after placing the order, i got a phone call and the person on the line told me that they couldn't put gyro meat on that pizza (even though the website let me do it no problem). We agreed that since i had already paid for an extra meat topping, that extra chicken would be fine instead.

When i received the order, the other items were fine, but the spinach/chicken pizza only had chicken on roughly half of the pizza, which was frustrating considered i had already paid for another meat topping and made a compromise on that. I called the store, and told them what was going on. Immediately, the answer was "well i talked to the cook and they said they put everything on there". I offered (more than once) to send a picture of the pizza to prove i wasn't just nitpicking. The phone got passed to another person claiming to be the assistant manager, who, when i asked to speak to a full manager told me they didn't have one. I told him the situation, got the same "well the cooks say they put it on there", offered again to send a picture to prove it. Was told the best they could do is give me a credit, but i would have to pick the pizza up (my original order was delivery, and there are extenuating circumstances that would keep me from picking it up). I told him that was not acceptable, and he said that was the only thing they could do. After several more minutes of arguing with them, trying to find a resolution, all of a sudden i was told i could be refunded for the item that was incorrect; so either i was lied to at first or i was lied to at the end.

If i do get my money back (in 3-5 days), i'll change the rating to a 4 or 5 as previously i've only had good...

It makes me sad to write this but we decided back in February of this year that we were tired of the terrible customer service from Yaghi's and that we will no longer give them our business. The pizza was one of our favorites but that was only when they got our order correct and were able to deliver it when they said they would. The final straw for us was earlier this year when our it was TWO HOURS beyond the estimated delivery arrival time and when I called they simply did not care and just said they were backed up on deliveries. My husband ended up driving there to pick up our pizza. We received no apology, no compensation of any kind and they kept our $8 delivery tip. I called and spoke to the "manager" who did not care. I tried finding a corporate email or number to contact and could not find a single way to contact someone about customer service. You know that a company does not care when they make it hard to contact them about anything. I emailed their human resources email address because it was the only contact information I could find on their website about our horrific delivery experience and asked for a refund of our delivery tip since we picked it up ourselves and never received a reply. There are so many other good pizza places in Austin -- why keep this place...

High Quality pizza, poor quality customer service. Ordered 2 Specialty X-Large pizza's. Paid for them. Get home they are not the pizzas I ordered. Mistakes happen we're human. Call Yaghis, they tell me to bring the pizzas back and they will swap for the original pizzas. I'm 30min away from the location. Now I'm being asked to drive an extra hour round trip to pick up the pizzas.(instead of them offering to deliver them to me) I mainly ordered the pizzas for the guys helping me move my stuff into my apartment. So driving an extra hour was not an option and swapping the pizzas is not an option. They tell me , come by since you already paid for 2 pizzas. We'll give you these 2 you ordered at no cost. I tell them it'll be about an hour and half before I could get back over there to grab the pizzas. Drive the 30min out of the way to grab the pizzas. Arrive then I'm told, we're going to undo the transaction you paid for. Then we will charge you for the original pizzas you ordered. I'm not paying for pizzas I ordered 2 hours prior that are still sitting back there. I just asked if they could email me a coupon or give me the pizzas. They tell me since I did not bring the pizza back they would't do anything. Left empty handed no...

4⭐️’s overall. I did a take out (more on that) so didn’t rate the atmosphere. Finished pie was quite delicious. Service is 3⭐️ as finding menu details online was not easy. I just finally asked. The website was not helpful. Called to order a delivery, since the website said this was an option, and was told, no longer. I needed to use Uber Eats, Door Dash or something else unless I wanted to pick it up. Not happy about this, but businesses have to make decisions on service and expenses, so I get it. Decided to order, after a call back as I initially was going somewhere else, and since I couldn’t find a good menu on line had to ask a lot of questions about specials and menu options.

I have always been a fan of Yaghis pizza. I think it’s some of the best pizza in Austin. It’s pricey but worth it to me especially when supporting local business which I prefer to do. But I ordered a small antipasto salad with no olives with my pizza and this was it. It was fresh. But it was EIGHT DOLLARS for basically a side salad with a few slices of pepperoni tomato and cucumber. That upscale dine in restaurant pricing, not a take out pizza shop. An eight dollar salad should be a meal. Where’s artichoke hearts? Ham? Capicola? Peppers? Red cabbage? This salad is worth less than half that. Be reasonable Yaghis!

Decided to try a pizza last night. This is what my family was served. An orange, peculiar tasting, burnt pizza. I don’t understand how you look at that and come to the conclusion, that this is an acceptable thing to put in a box, and serve to a family. I’m from New York. My family owned three pizzerias for over 20 years. We never, ever, put something like that in a box, and served it to someone. The crazy thing is, you don’t have to be from New York to look at that and say that’s unacceptable. You just have to have standards. I’ll be back in the morning, to give them back the pizza.
