3rd Base Bar & Grill — Restaurant in Avon Lake

Use to be a good family oriented place, but the place has gone really down hill. Owners are not visible anymore. When Trudy and her husband were onsite showing their face here and there, everyone’s attitude was good, and customer service was great!! Service has really hit ground level. The bartenders demeanor has really changed the atmosphere and the clientele. Now they just get feens and stragglers that control the bar. It takes 15 min or so min just to get a drink or put an order in for the family. The food is burnt or raw, and hardly ever correct. To be out of liquor on Friday is absurd. They need a new lady behind the bar on Friday that can do the job adequately and spend more attention on customers than her friends that she hovers over wanting free drinks. To be told they are out of liquor with an attitude is unacceptable customer service. This is not the East side of Cleveland. Hopefully Trudy and her husband take back control...

Not quite a "dive" bar, but it is a neighborhood hole in the wall. Food is good, as are their prices. And it seems they are always open regardless of weather or holidays. You cannot get a better price and quality on most of the food items here compared to any other fast food chain or fast casual dining restaurant.
