Changed rating from 4 Stars to 3 Now under new ownership the place has been updated and upgraded but dulled down greatly. Karaoke (which used to be Thurs, Fri, Sat & Sun) is now VERY limited. We used to enjoy dancing there but that's gone now. And the customer service is a hit with some but a major miss with others. My visits are now very scarce due to an employee I believe is named Amanda... she finds EVERY opportunity to attack women she finds intimidating. She's not only threatened myself & others but she'll desperately try to spread lies like a mean girl in junior high. I have absolutely no idea how this female is still employed with all the problems I've witnessed her causing customers and employees but she's absolutely AWFUL, mean, vindictive and yells at customers/employees like she's a dictator. I prefer to keep my surroundings positive so if/when she's gone I'll definitely be back to visit again for karaoke.
BTW, Karaoke Thursday nights here is FUN... the KJ Host is outgoing and fair with the rotation. The host has a large selection to choose from and will even play songs everyone can/will dance to between rotations. The karaoke crowd is diverse, some nights get packed while other nights don't. There's even drink specials and beer buckets that are budget friendly for a fun night out with friends. The pool tables are a nice option for those who don't participate in karaoke with tournaments on particular nights.
Original Review ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Great local dive bar we've been visiting for several years. Karaoke is fun here with a very diverse crowd filled with regulars & newbies. The service is great as well as the prices and the new late night grub is a plus. We enjoy the nights when the second room has a DJ for some dancing but they have rotating nights of live bands as well. Have to minus a star because the place Desperately needs to be updated & repaired but employees are always very welcoming...
Read moreThe lighthouse is now under New Management. And a few significant things have changed. Karaoke is on Tuesdays and Thursdays for the board game night on Tuesdays. Wednesday nights are saying the traditional pool tournament that we're always on Wednesdays. The service is still excellent, but as they are getting used to being open the food options are limited. I will say from experience though what they do have is pretty darn tasty.
Before the takeover, and before covid, they were attached to a Mexican restaurant and had access to their entire menu. They shared a kitchen.
If they can get back to serving that high quality food with lots of options I will adjust my rating to the five star. It isn't their fault that covid ruined everything. But I stand by my four star rating.
If you're looking for a Wednesday night pool tournament with some decent players, the lighthouse has two 7-ft diamond tables and the tournament buy in is only $7. Not a bad investment if you want to play some 8 Ball with high...
Read moreThe establishment is alright. I would not mind going back again. They have a separate bar area to just hang out or play some pool and then there is a separate area where the dance floor is at. This area also has a bar as well. The food is okay. My wife ordered their nachos. I had one bite of it which might have been one chip maybe two and was burping onions the rest of the night until I fell asleep. I think their drinks are kinda weak as well. Im a lite-weight and usually start to feel a buzz after one drink. The night we went, I had a glass of beer, two of their long island iced teas, a rum and coke and I think 3 shots of tequila and was barely feeling anything. This does make me a little suspicious about what they are using to make their drinks. But their bartenders and the bouncer were nice so...
