I lived there for over a decade. I seen many management changes and the last was my favorite. The new management was very kind and even though sometimes they were short-staffed they would still do a great job. Most of my life there was very peaceful except noisy neighbors here and there but that didn't bother me until PREVIOUS staff thought it was me being noisy and almost evicted me and my hubby. Do to the way the buildings are constructed you sometimes can't tell where the noise is coming from exactly. This was a mistake of the previous owners and nosy neighbors. It turned out that one of the vacant apartments was being used and they were hiding it. So obviously no one believed us until they happened to see that for themselves. Some people experienced a little bit of theft so be careful leaving your stuff out with your car open. I personally never had anything stolen. I never really had a bug problem other than the occasional water bug which I don't mind them and twice I had ants but quickly resolved that by sealing any holes where they might enter into the apartment. The quality of the Construction of the apartments wasn't the best in my opinion but you get a lot of space for Less money. I did not like whatsoever the new installments of low-flow water faucets and shower head. My hair was all sticky and it took me forever to take a shower therefore wasting more water. I didn't like how a lot of people would leave their dogs poop on the grass. There was a woman who lived there at one point with a big dog who basically bit my husband on his pants and the woman did not apologize but he did not report it because he doesn't like drama. I miss sitting outside in the public area of Remington Ranch to look at the stars even in the day it was awesome to see the birds and humming birds. The workout room was awesome and one of my favorite things about Remington. No matter which owners have been there sometimes getting certain repairs would take a long time. They offer a variety of workout equipment so I would try a little bit of everything and ended up with a pretty rocking body for a while. They have a pretty a cool theater room for the kids as well as a party community room that you can rent out. I like the computer room as well. They have very beautiful landscape. They offer a basketball court, swimming pool, jacuzzi, volleyball court. Or the people who have children there's plenty of schools nearby at walking distance so you can save money on gas by walking to pick up your kids if you'd like. I felt safe walking my little dog around Remington Ranch as well as the neighborhoods close by. I like that there's stores nearby that walking distance including fast food places and a gas station. There are also some cool parks around there including goodyear community park and the one at Old Litchfield with lake and ducks. Old Litchfield offers festivals and other special events so don't miss out on those wonderful experiences if you live here. The Goodyear Community Park also offers many cool so read my review on the Goodyear Park for more information. When it comes to pets, the staff is very pet friendly and understanding. I very much Miss Remington Ranch Apartments and the...
Read moreI lived here for two years. We added a roommate the second year, and because we were staying, we had two choices: a ceiling fan or a sprayer for our sink. Since we had a roommate, we chose a ceiling fan for his room. Two weeks after he moved in, maintenance workers came to our apartment and asked our roommate if he had bought the ceiling fan for them to install. We were never told we had to buy the ceiling fan. That was never even stated on the lease. Because he had not bought one, we had to wait another two weeks for them to buy one and install it. I unfriended Remington Ranch on facebook, and yet, office management continuously went on my facebook page and liked my statuses. I was very uncomfortable with that. The gym was nice until the free weights started disappearing. Finally, my husband decided to be generous and donate his free weights to the gym. Those were also stolen. While there, pigeon poop was left all over the stairs for months before someone cleaned it off, the roof between our apartment and our neighbors was caving in due to water damage. That took two months to fix. Our neighbors smoked weed, which the scent went through the vents into our apartment. Our downstairs neighbors partied every weekend. The second year of living there came with a new charge, a $25 trash fee, which involved us sitting an issued trashcan outside our door and a business coming out to pick up our trash. The community trash cans were literally directly downstairs. When we asked if we had to pay it although we didn't use it, we were told it was something everyone had to pay for. Basically, there was no way out of it, so we paid that plus the city trash fee. Also, at the end of our lease, we filled out a reason to vacate form. Our roommate told us last minute he would be moving, leaving us to tell the managers we would be moving, and we had a 30 day time period to say we were moving, but it was past those 30 days. We filled out the form and turned it in to Ashley. My husband went in a week later just to make sure everything was all set for us to move, and that is when he found out they lost our papers. Had he not gone into the office, we may never have found out. Luckily, we were not in trouble and just filled out...
Read moreThere are a few really nice, personable personnel in the office. It is unfortunate that they are learning from poor management. We have lived there for a year and it will be only a year. There are so many issues. No recording in the office to leave a message. No respect for renters when things like trash was not picked up and they still charged a fee. There explanation for everything is Fair Housing. What we do for one we have to do for all. I wonder if they ever considered it would be fair for all not to be charged for trash pick up that is not being picked up. And let's not forget about the response from maintenance department. The dishwasher, still doesn't work nor does the garbage disposal. Maintenance actually showed up one day to fix the patio door a month and a half after a request. They had the wrong tools and didn't even have the correct screws. The mail service is a joke and mail boxes are broken into on a regular basis. The tile in bathroom needs repair, the windows need cleaning and repair, the door to the wash room hits the refrigerator, and there are huge dogs living in one bedroom apartments that constantly bark. When we move out it will be left clean but I can almost guess that there will be some conniving reason we will not get our funds back. I encourage the decent office help to know that not all places of work function this way. There are laws, such as Fair Housing, that are in effect to protect both the renter and management. It is not supposed to be one sided. I actually called this evening and I was a little frustrated. The office worker actually set the phone down so she didn't have to listen to me. It must be hard to get so many calls from renters that feel mistreated, not listened to, not respected and treated unfairly. One of my part time jobs is a certified mediator with the legal system. It is called Alternative Dispute Resolution. It might be nice for your organization to set up where your renters are heard, really heard and whatever the issues are they are heard and resolution can actually be a win win. Too bad these types of issues have to exist in a place one wants...
