I was told about the chain while at a rest area, and was told their burgers were good. But prior to that I have never heard of Jack in the Box before this visit. The lady in charge when I was there seemed new to managing a restaurant. The person taking the order seemed really new. Taking that into account though I was not impressed at all. The restaurant was clean inside, along with the men's restroom. I ordered a burger with only mayonnaise instead of ketchup or mustard. Unfortunately it took forever (close to 7 minutes) for my food to get made, and it was only mustard. The person that took my order did apologize and got a second sandwich made to replace it. The young man (order taker) was talking to me apologizing again after getting my sandwich remade when the lady in charge came over and interrupted him talking to me and just said go do (I don't know but make something for a different customer) even though the young man was trying to make sure my meal was correct now. The lady in charge just looked at me then went away also. It just made me feel like I don't care if your food is correct or not. Before my food was made, I was given a cup to get my drink. I was able to get my drink but could not find straws. I tried to get the lady in charge's attention to get some more because they were out in the customer area, but she only looked at me twice while bagging food for the drive through and never acknowledged me. I know all people have bad days, get overwhelmed, or something. I don't want to sound like "don't ever stop there" but the only good part to me was the fact that I could tell the young man was new and was really trying to do the best her could. The quality of the food was ok, such as no brown lettuce etc. The sandwich (both the original and the remake) were room temperature. The fries were a mixed bag of curly and normal fries completely cold. So in conclusion for my first visit ever to a Jack in the Box, I am going to go to someplace else the next time even though the young man and only contact with anyone (others were there but never talked to me at all, and only looked at me) tried to do, what I suspect was the limits of the training he received and was great, the overall experience was...

Wait: We waited about 15-20 minutes for our food. Meanwhile the young lady in the photo checked her phone 13 times. Not just checked, she would text, watch and more. At some points just drinking her drink and texting on her phone.
Phone Usage: I'm not one who hates phones. But there is a time and a place. Working at the window is not the time or place. The employee had been on her phone 13 times while I was at the window, typing, watching and whatever else. Not only is this unprofessional it is irritating when we are waiting 15+ minutes just for the food. On top of that the germs on a phone. I've worked in some nasty jobs so germs don't get to me BUT phones are dirtier THAN TOILETS stated scientist. The fact she would use her phone then make my drink then use her phone go grab something else. The amount of cross contamination is gross and could be harmful to someone with a specific allergy. This was the worst part of the phone being touched every couple seconds. It is gross to think of.
Food: As i stated before, I do not expect 5 star food but I do expect decent food. Upon receiving our order we had cold fries, cold onions rings, a burnt chicken sandwich and all of our food was DOUSED in hot sauce. Some of it was so bad ( and I'm not one for spicy food) I just threw it away due to the overwhelming spice. I didn't read that the burger or tacos had hot sauce but they sure did when we got them.

Read moreUpdate 11/11/22... That didn't last long. I went in and two young girls behind counter just stood there talking to themselves. It took just over 5 minutes before I was asked if they could help me. There is no hope for this place.
Update from year ago. Today 10/16/22.... I finally went back after bad experience after bad experience. They have really stepped it up today. Looks like mainly all new staff. They were very busy so food took a little longer but they were very apologitic and friendly. They even offered a free dessert. Good job y'all. I will be going back.
This goes along with the review before this one saying they lock the doors at 7 pm. I was there at approximately 9:45 am. I went to go inside and the doors were locked. No sign on door. I see a person at the drive thru window. I knock loudly at the door for a good 5 minutes. Finally someone looks at the door and points to go around. I get up to the window and ask why door locked.
