We arrived at Asaki around 6:30 p.m. and were seated immediately. The restaurant was at about 70% capacity, but we were waited upon quickly and our food came out in about 15 minutes. The filet and shrimp combination was very good. I received about six pieces of each, along with vegetables and rice, clear soup, and a green salad consisting of iceberg lettuce, cucumbers, and a carrot-ginger salad dressing. The soup and salad offerings were small yet tasty. The filet is made to order. I chose medium, and it was grilled to perfection, as were the shrimp. The fried rice was also good. I really enjoyed the teriyaki sauce, which was flavorful and not at all salty. The Massaman Curry dish was also a delight, with fresh vegetables and tender chicken. Although it wasn't as advertised (there were no asparagus), it was quite good, and the curry was very mild and pleasing, as Massaman should be. The restaurant has a wet and sushi bar. Sushi lovers can rejoice, as there was a very large selection to choose from. Our server was polite, as was the rest of the staff. The only thing I particularly noticed was the floor, which could've used a small broom and a dustpan in some places. All in all, it was a pleasant dining experience.

First time customer, won't be returning. We are regulars at Shanghai in Dallas but I wanted teriyaki tofu so we tried Asaki. We spent $48 on a kids shrimp hibachi, teriyaki tofu, a side of hibachi vegetables and an order of vegetables with udon noodles. The kids shrimp hibachi didn't come with the noodles we ordered, the cucumber on top of the salad was cut in a way that only makes me think it shouldn't have been served. The tofu was breaded but soggy and half of the entire container was onions. The side of vegetables and the vegetables with noodles were also FILLED with onions. I love onions. But tonight we spent $48 on a meal that was 60% onions. Not cool. Shanghai all the way.

Arrived and we were greeted and seated immediately. Admittedly we am not well versed in Japanese food. We asked our waiter for extra time to look over the menu. We asked several questions and our waiter was somewhat helpful. I started with a Sushi Appetizer which was served with 5 pieces of sushi and was very tasty. My wife, had a chicken hibachi diner which was served hot and I ordered the chicken teriyaki. We did venture into the Rolls and other items on the menu but look forward to trying other items.

First time customer that will be a regular customer. Went today with my son and granddaughter and our experience was much more than just lunch. All of us had Hibachi, New York strip for my son whom said it was the most flavorful tender steak he had ever had, Shrimp for my granddaughter and I that was cooked to absolute perfection. Lunch also came with soup and salad with delicious Ginger dressing. The prices were more than reasonable. The Chef was absolutely amazing, he was friendly, funny, professional, skilled and efficient. The hostess was friendly and fast. The waitress was super patient and sweet and she did not hover over us but was right there when we needed a beverage refill and to see if we needed anything. Needless to say we all had the best experience at Asaki restaurant. I am not exaggerating when I say this is by far the BEST place I have ever eaten at. I have already told my family and friends about this excellent restaurant. I look forward to bringing my husband here for a...
