The 4 things I will address before I post my review.
The person taking my order was BLAH!!! 😑 If this was my place I would go out of my way to have a beautiful Middle Eastern 20/30 year old working the register. Not only would it change the food ordering mood. It would give a feminine touch to the front end.
Second, GET RID OF THE WALLS WITH FAKE GRASS OR WEEDS.I can see dust dust and more dust in it. It’s not needed and unattractive. No walls in any restaurant should have grass or any type of plant.
Third, the chick peas were so/so. Hate to say it but almost taste directly from a can. Not like a real kabob place taste.
Forth and finally- WHY ALL THE GREASE??? When you cook any steak on a flat top or grill DO NOT add oil, grease or whatever. The steak, even lean cuts will give you just the right amount of natural fat to cook. As you can see from the plate, the sandwich was coated in it. The steak and cheese was great tasting but the oil/grease not needed. No on with my official review

If you're feeling adventurous, you can opt for a fusion burger, combining flavors from around the world. Picture a Thai-inspired burger with peanut sauce and spicy slaw or a Mexican burger with guacamole and jalapeños.
If you're in the mood for something hearty, explore the sub section of the menu. Choose from a selection of freshly baked bread stuffed with a diverse range of fillings. There are Italian subs loaded with salami, ham, and provolone, alongside Afghan subs featuring tender kebabs, fragrant rice, and flavorful chutneys.
But what sets this restaurant apart is its Afghan cuisine. You can savor dishes like aromatic lamb kebabs, fluffy saffron-infused rice, and mouthwatering aushak dumplings filled with herbs and spices, all served with a side of warm naan bread. The flavors are rich and authentic, offering a taste of Afghanistan that's hard to find elsewhere.

Read moreThis place was recommended by my optometrist’s team who are Afghani and all I can say is…WOW! We love to try new things and support local businesses so they can continue to give us eclectic dining options in the DMV. The food here was simply delicious! I had a bad experience with lamb at an Indian restaurant in London, UK over 10 years ago and never ate lamb again until this past weekend. I ordered the chicken/lamb kabob combo with brown rice. All the meats were so tender you could cut them with a dull butter knife. The chicken had a slight charring on the outside edges giving it a subtle crisp texture around the edges as you bite into it to reveal the flavorful, juicy tenderness inside. As for the lamb, I now know what a properly prepared lamb kabob is supposed to taste like which, to me, had a texture in between chicken and beef and tasted like a medium-cooked filet sprinkled with traditional Afghani spices. Add their Afghani brown rice to the mix, which was more like fried rice and not like traditional brown rice I expected (the kind you get at the grocery store instead of traditional white asian rice because you are pretending to be healthy), and I was having a hard time controlling my portions to make sure I saved room for the famous traditional ice cream dessert (Sheeryakh) that was also recommended. Thankfully, I doggy-bagged my main dish and was able to enjoy a tiny mountain of ice cream in a bowl of sweet cream topped with crunchy pistachio bits and my sweet tooth is now forever-addicted! Definitely will be adding this spot to our...
Read moreAwful service, but delicious food. Two employees saw me enter for lunch, but neither greeted or assisted me, just continued to clean things. After a bit of waiting I walked around until I found a menu on the counter, then I was told to sit wherever. I sat down and was told to pick another table, and that they'd take my order soon. One person came by and he said I wasn't ready (I thought maybe he misspoke if English was his second language), so I said I was ready, then he shook his head no and walked away. I waited so long I was about to leave, then he came back and took my order. He wouldn't look me in the eye and seemed very annoyed I was there, but was all smiles and laughs and conversations with the pretty young lady at another table. The food was pricey, but was enough for two or three people, and was absolutely mouth watering! I asked for a box and was told I could eat more as he gestured up and down with his hand out. I didn't say anything, he brought out a box, and left it on the table. He then boxed up the food for the other two tables. I asked for the check and gave my card, and I was given a final receipt with no place for a tip. I asked if I could buy something else so I could leave a tip, and the guy said no. I told him I didn't bring cash, and he said to please go and to rate 5 stars. It was the first time he made eye contact or smiled at me the whole time. I asked if they are a new restaurant, he said yes and they just recently opened. I see they have reviews from three years ago on here. Food was amazing, but these guys need...
