El Jalisco Bainbridge — Restaurant in Bainbridge

My family and I eat at this location regularly and usually have a great experience, but tonight was disappointing. My daughter ordered a new dish that included steak, chicken, bacon, and shrimp. She didn’t eat it because she’d already filled up on cheese dip, salsa, and Halloween candy. When I was boxing up her meal to go, I noticed there was no shrimp on the plate. Since the dish was over $19, I asked the hostess to see the menu and confirmed it was supposed to include shrimp.

I politely asked if they could add the shrimp to the plate so we could take it home, but the manager came out and said there was nothing he could do since I had already paid. As a former server, I completely understand how the industry works, but I wasn’t asking for a refund or a replacement—just the shrimp we had already paid for.

Food is good! Not a big fan of the quesibarria. Service sucks because you will start off with one server than another will come. That person will be on three different tables. Took long time to get new drinks. Order items that never came or would take a long time. Flies and gnats are insane. All in the drinks and you are fighting them while eating. The biggest thing is watch your check. They already added the tip. There were five people at the table. Usually a party of 6, tip is added to bill. Add your bill up! They literally tried to add an extra 10 dollars to our bill. WATCH YOUR BILL! They will assume you won't tip. The hostess usually helps out. She watched us try to get help and didn't budge. The atmosphere is welcoming & clean. It was early afternoon & it wasn't very busy. However, it began to pick up before we left. Drinks were incredibly overpriced & certainly not worth it. Although presentation was on point, it lacked taste, certainly not worth $17, even at the 2 for 1 special as advertised. We didn't receive the special, I'm assuming, since we ordered top shelf.
