I’d say if there was one gem of Bainbridge that people would drive and do so early in the morning, I’d say this place. The consistency of the donuts are similar to Krispy Kreme except with more body and turgor. You can absolutely tell they are homemade in their appearance and quality. I got 4 sprinkled, a cinnamon twist, a Bismarck, and a donut with a sausage tucked inside all for $12. The strawberry frosting had remnants of real strawberry and they asked me what cream I wanted infused into the Bismarck (I said the custard). Ultimately, those are some of the best donuts I’ve ever had and the Bismarck is by far the best one I’ve ever had, light dusted in granulated sugar as well. The sausage is a very authentic, meaty sausage so if you like that paired with sweet dough, it would be the perfect place. The establishment has a clear window so you can see essentially what they have from the outside. I went at 10 AM one morning and only saw the generic donuts left so go earlier! Very small place, limited parking out front. Great to swing by and grab a few. If you’re driving through, please go here! No gluten free options as expected so if intolerant, bring a pill to aid in digestion.

When I was a little kid, it was a Saturday morning tradition for my dad to take me to the donut shop to get donuts together for the family. We’d always split a bag of donut holes on the drive home, and they’d be totally gone in just those 10 minutes. The donuts here are the best I’ve ever had, and I’m 25 years older now. I’ve had a lot of different donuts from a lot of different shops but nothing even comes close to how good these are. I know it’s not just the nostalgia talking either, because I’ve brought these donuts to my big city friends for them to try and they agree with me! My favorite are the cinnamon twists.

There’s one incident that made my mother feel very uncomfortable. Her customer service experience seemed very biased. And that’s uncommon given the fact that she patronizes there regularly. It seems as she was only treated that way based on the surrounding people around her. After this incident we will take our...
